Fascism is more like a form of radical centrism bizarrely enough. I get a lot of push back for this, but it has elements of radical right wing and radical left wing ideologies. The fascists started as labor unions; those were the original rods in the bundle so to speak. They merged with corporate power later. They created essentially national socialism, which Hitler later emulated, in response to international socialism. The major difference is that they only care about Italian workers instead of workers of the world. But labor conditions and production were managed by the state. Hitler had things like housing programs etc as well. The socialism was only to be extended to the ethnic nation.

Saying that nationalism indicative of fascism is laughable. The other nationalist oriented countries were the ones to the defeat the fascists. The problem with fascism like other totalitarian systems, is how much control the state has over you, how much they can reach into your life, and how much they define what the truth is.

The women are anti-American. I hope Trump continues to call them out. They need to be held accountable.

The racial undertones are in going back where you came from. That's making reference to your origin. The statement would not have as much of a racial undertone if it wasn't signaling people of color out, because saying the same thing about a white person isn't going to have nearly as many racial undertones. It's before you get to the complaining part people are forgetting. Trump singled these people out based on their origin, though three of them were born here. That is the true at hand. And that is how the constant vilification of these people are fall into the third characteristic of fascism.

You have to examine the statement closer than just them being an unhappy camper on American soil.

So funny that you bring up "radicals" and then we look at every thread you create. You realize we can view your thread creation history, right? LOL!

How exactly are they Anti-American? Omar calls out politicians for kissing up to Israel, she's labeled as Anti-Semitic.

Calling for better environmental or healthcare policies is not Anti-American.

Try not to derail the thread into something about me because you cannot argue against the points I've put forward.

Nationalism under fascism is just another word for collectivism. That's hardly a trait of the right that values individualism.

They've called Americans racist since they entered congress. They continually say we're a bad country.

But that's what the left does. Beto recently met with some new American (legal) immigrants. He told them they are now part of a racist, flawed society. What a Debbie Downer.

Basic research on fascism shows that it lays on the far right side of the left-right spectrum, that it is a creature of authoritarian ultra-nationalism. I've maintained that nationalism is dangerous to a nation for this very kind of extreme reason.

Our country is not perfect, that is true and as with Charlottesville, we have witnessed the rise of white nationalism. So technically, Beto's responses are not incorrect.

Our country is not perfect. But to obsess about "white nationalists" who comprise 0.000000000001% of our population is psychotic.

Yes, the U.S. in WW II was very nationalistic. And we didn't come close to adopting fascism.

    There's nothing wrong with nationalism.

Republicans are in full on squirm control. Trump says he did not approve of the chanting of his racist slogans.

Criticizing another's views isn't racist. Telling someone to "go back" to their country when they are from this country very, very often is, though not always. At no point have I claimed it is racist just to criticize the views of someone of another race. Hell, I haven't even said it is wrong to criticize the views of any of these women. I still don't get how AOC got an economics degree.

His comments were not about her race but about how poorly her home is run as contrasted with how well ours is.

Saying him comments have Anything to do with race is a lie.

Basic research on the Statue of Liberty should tell you that the statue was dedicated in 1886 and that bullshit poem you referenced was placed on a plaque there in 1903....has nothing to do with the Statue at all:

Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me

So you can keep your poor homeless illegal aliens...we don't want them.

There is a battle going on right now for the soul of the country. It may seem fascist to you just as the rhetoric of the left feels socialistic and communistic. Where was your voice when Antifa was rioting in Berkeley? Where was your voice when Hillary Clinton and the DNC were paying for a false dossier on a political opponent? Where was your voice when the DNC rigged the election against Bernie Sanders? Where was your voice when members of Congress called the President a traitor, treasonous and illegitimate? Where were you when the left called the opposition "Deplorables", racist's, homophobes ect? Where were you when the "hit squad" called the leader of your own party a racist and scolded every person of color needed to be more color, every queer more queer, every Muslim more Muslim? Where were you when members on the left kept degrading "white men"? If Omar married her brother is she a bigamist and unsuited to be a member of Congress? Where were you when anti Jewish rhetoric was being tossed about on the floor of Congress? What party is guilty of trying to shut down and destroy reporters ? Democrats, that's who. It doesn't bother you that Universities and some state legislators are making it unlawful to express free right wing speech?

Except we know this isnt true. The soviet union was very much authoritarian and nationalistic, but yet they are not considered "right wing", they are described as lefties. There are several other examples , China, Cuba, Venezuela...

The point is there are two axes on the political scale, authoritarian/libertarian on one axis, and collectivism/ individualism on another. It may take more than basic research and a biased internet link to come to a better understanding.

"in 1943, the following directive was issued from party headquarters to all communist in the United States. It read whencertain obstructionists become too irritating label them after suitable buildups as fascists or Nazi or anti-semitic and use the prestige of anti-fascist intolerance organizations to discredit them. In the public mind constantly associate those who oppose us with those names which I already have a bad smell. The association after enough repetition will become fact in the public mind."

Seems like a lot of people are being useful idiots for communists

I’ve said before the classic political scale graphics are one of the most damaging pieces of political propaganda ever produced. It’s no accident those who wish to rule make different forms of authoritarianism seem more desirable than real freedom.
