So far all we have are people chanting for that kind of pseudo-fascism while the President looks on amused. Not to worry, though. He wouldn't actually get away with it if he tired.

A poster recently asked, what exactly is a racist? A white, college educated businessman from a northern state will answer it one way.

A white, college deficient farmer from the South will answer it a different way.

I can't tell you what a racist is, but I know one when I see one.

Speaking of which, President Trump visited a southern state yesterday to spread his racial hatred.

Referring to the four women of color, newly elected Democratic members of the House of Representatives, Trump told a packed arena, “These left-wing ideologues see our nation as a force for evil.” To roaring applause, he railed against what he called “hate-filled extremists who are constantly trying to tear our country down.”

“They don’t love our country,” he said. “I think, in some cases, they hate our country. You know what? If they don’t love it, tell them to leave it.”

After Trump reeled off several controversial comments made by Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, including accusations in which he depicted her as sympathetic to Al Qaeda, his adoring admirers began to chant “Send her back.”

For thirteen long seconds, Trump listened to the chant, a smirking grin on his face, obviously proud he had caused the chorus from the massive crowd of mostly southerners. He did not say another word until the chant finally died down.

Then came the morning after and the inevitable lies began.

Facing an onslaught of indignation and qualms even from his inner circle, Trump claimed to be unhappy his rally crowd broke into chants of "send her back."

"I was not happy with it. I disagree with it," Trump said at the White House a day after the rally, attacking those who attended his rally. Brilliant.

In a blatant lie, Trump told reporters he “started speaking very quickly” in an attempt to silence the rally attendees. He is on video with a shyt-eating grin on face listening to the chant for thirteen seconds until it dies out. How stupid can you be?

In another blatant lie that only his base could possibly believe, Trump casually said, "I didn't say that. They did."

“So interesting to see ‘Progressive’ Democrat Congresswomen, who originally came from countries whose governments are a complete and total catastrophe. Why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came."

    How stupid can you be?

    Trump lies so easily now.

Why? Trump can do anything, say anything and Republicans in Congress do nothing to rein him in. Instead, they re-interpret what Trump says then tell the American people he really meant something else. It is as if both Trump and Trump Republicans have challenges with the English language.

Yes, deliberately labeling a man racist for the political goal of destroying him while also knowing that he said and did nothing racist IS fascism. It's similar to how the political Left auto-labeled all meaningful criticism of Barack Obama "Racist!" or "Racism!" in order to protect Obama from all meaningful criticism.

Only if we forget what the word fascism actually means.

Which, while stupid, still isn't fascism.

"Omar was born in Mogadishu on October 4, 1982,[5][6] and spent her early years in Baidoa, Somalia.[7][8]"

"After first arriving in New York in 1992,[18] Omar's family finally secured asylum in the U.S. in 1995 and lived for a time in Arlington, Virginia,[12]"

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilhan_Omar

She wasn't a citizen until she was almost an adult.....

    What's 1992 minus 1982 ??

The worst he's done so far along those lines is try to revoke people's green cards without due process, which he backpeddled on pretty fast. Luckily we have enough check and balances to resist his worst impulses, though he still gets away with violating things like the tax and spending clause of the Constitution.

You responded to the OP's claims about when she came here by reporting when she became a citizen . . . which isn't the same thing of course. But yes, looks like she came here at 10 and became a citizen at 17. As a citizen, she's just as much an American as Trump is. But, still, the primary stupidity in his comment was telling 3 women who were born here that they should link about going back to where they are from.

Labeling people as communist is straight out of the fascist directives :)

But I'm glad you agree that Gatewood's claims of fascism are complete nonsense.

What gives me hope is that our judges and courts still love the law enough to repeatedly rein in Trump. Another fortuitous fact is that even when Trump owned the entire government he couldn't even get a wall or kill Obamacare. Trump is a fish out of water, the poor sap thinks the United States government is like Trump's vodka and steak divisions. It infuriates him that Congress and the courts won't let him have his way. WHY CAN'T I GOVERN LIKE PUTIN, XI, KIM!

That thought causes him to fall down and gnaw at the Oval Office carpet periodically. Thank God our founders saw the coming of a Trump and gave us three coequal branches of the government to check one another. No wonder Trump loves dictators and thinks of them enviously.

You are making the assumption that all socialists are Marxists. Which isn't remotely true. And, no, with rare exceptions the Dems aren't socialists.

You are going to have to take up your argument with someone who doesn't know what these words actually mean. No luck here.

The guy I was responding to said it is fascist to call someone racist.

The only thing I called fascist was the prospect that citizens would be deported for free speech. Catch up.

*Sigh* socialism is the belief that that the people (typically meaning the State) should control the means of production. Communists typically agree on this point, but their ultimate goal is the elimination of the class system, which not all socialists agree with. Marxism is a specific type of communism that . . . you know, if you haven't done your homework on this yet you probably aren't interested in any kind of accuracy. These words are just meaningless collections of letters to throw at Dem to troll and pretty much nothing else.

A pity. There are some huge problems with these philosophies that you can actually begin to address if you approach them with intellectual honesty.

Sigh your playing a sematics game....

Socialism is not a mode of production. It is the transition from capitalism to communism. Socialism is communism which emerges from capitalist society. It begins as capitalism with a workers’ state. Socialism therefore bears the moral, economic and intellectual imprint of capitalism.

In general, socialism is defined as the rule of the working class.

The division of labour cannot be abolished overnight. It manifests itself under socialism in the contradictions between mental and manual labour, town and country, men and women, as well as social, regional and national differences
