That is because you don't live in South Florida or Palm Beach County.

I can thank laparoscopic surgery for the reduced healing time. Still taking it real easy though. Not in a hurry to rejoin the rat race. ;)

    It's not very expensive.

Does it look like too much for the house? Neighborhood?

If I'm gonna save money on the fencing, I'm thinking that I might put in a fancy gate.

I can't help but think how many whacks of a heavy sledgehammer would it
take to rattle that gate's brains.if one has ever seen how SWAT teams storm a house
    with their door busting ramrod.
    Not to be confused with " Ramrod " from - Vice Squad - { 1982 }.
A truly gnarly character played by Wings Hauser.

Have never seen a goat in Palm Beach.
But then it never occurred to me to look for one. ;-)

Mornin, peeps. Gonna be another hot one, but promises of a 'cold' front on Tues. Something to look forward to!

As fences go, I prefer chain link... with hedges or vines planted next to it to disguise the industrial look. Red-tip Photinias do well against chain link because they need air flow. Mine around the inside of my backyard are at least 10 ft tall. Makes a great, no maintenance privacy fence. :)

Hey, TC, what about a white picket fence? I think that might look nice around your house, and it would give you the air flow you want.

Google "white picket fence" and look at the images, and you'll see that they can be built in a lot of different styles. Just a thought.

Another option that came to mind that would save a lot of money might be to dress up your existing chain link fence. Colored slats can be installed. Here is a chain link gate that is installed between the corner of my house and the corner of my detached garage. It has white slats to match the trim of the house.

This would save you the costs of removal and disposal of the chain link fence and the costs of all new materials for a different fence. Anyways, just an option for you.

It's comin' along over on the other side of the house.

*sigh* The wife wants me to move that whole pile of compost first so it's easily accessible to her for her gardening. Hence, the shovel and wheelbarrow. I've got to move it forward of the fence line and pile it up in that unused part of the garden just to the other side. Fun ... *sigh*

Can't finish the fence until I do that first ...

And Pontiac Goats, as opposed to Ford Mustangs, can no longer reproduce.

Thanks Seth, but my fence is getting ripped out. It's a pain to trim along it and its rusting.

I can tell that I don't know what I want to do. I'm thinking about planting shrubberies along the front and partway down the sides, then the livestock fence.
