    do you get some idiotic thrill out of pulling these bs statistics out of that cavernous rectal cavity of yours? the third leading cause of death is, in fact, accidents and unintentional injury. in spite of my disdain for the medical profession as a whole, i retain some respect for those willing to go through the rigors obtaining an education and practicing a profession that is among the most highly regulated in the nation and ignorant comments like the above only serve to make the occupation all the more difficult and costly to maintain.

    So, no one (especially left-wingers) should use the life expectancy of other nations as an argument on why the U.S. should implement single-payer or national healthcare because there are too many other factors that can affect life expectancy that have nothing to do with the availability of healthcare.

    But ObamaCare was more coverage than what we had before, right?

    Which means that it doesn't matter how much healthcare coverage you have, the life expectancy isn't dependent on coverage and is dependent on the habits of the people.

    I guess to be honest, that is one area that healthcare may shorten life span, people in pain getting prescribed addictive pain meds and becoming addicted... had they just suffered they would of lived longer, but I tell you, when I had surgery, I was glad for the pain pills, and as I was scared of becoming addicted, tried to cut the dose in half too early, mistake, they were working

    I would hate to be someone in chronic pain, as the choice is pain or keep taking the drug long term - hopefully they come out with pain pills that are not as addictive and work just as well someday

    And this is the point. If everyone has basic coverage which ,earns if you drop down in front of us you will get immediate care, then those who do NOT like the system (because of care delays or
    Crowding in hospitals or simply because they do not like to be in the same building as “people like that” are free to get private coverage which costs LESS because the high risk patients are not draining the system

    Trump said he had a plan for day 1 of his Presidency, he lied, he just thought republicans in congress that were shouting repeal and replace for years would already have one that he could take credit for - they didn't - lol
