If the Democrats run Omar for President, Trump would have an excellent chance of winning a second term. That seems to be Trump’s strategy for 2020. However in the real world, Trump will no doubt run against someone else.

 

What initiatives has the president/Repubs put forth regarding fixing homelessness and infrastructure that the Dems blocked them from doing?
Btw...in my opinion both sides of the aisle suck. Both sides have a history of playing partisan politics.

I don't see it that way. Almost half the country has voted to flush American values down the toilet, while waving a flag.

We have never seen almost half the country support a dictator. That is effectively what is happening now. And consider that the reason the Senate won't act to protect the US election system from Russian interference, is that it might piss off trump!

Its over when you can't protect democracy because it might piss off the president. That is just one of a thousand examples I could give. And what's more, they knowingly support evil. There is no undoing that one.

Trump praises a man who runs death squads; trump called for the mass murder of innocent people, and trump called for extreme torture. And his supporters don't care. In fact, they cheer! That is the rise of the darkest thing we've seen since Hitler.

 

I agree with you. There are people on both sides who deal in nothing but hyperbole. That’s been going on since ‘64 at least and with the constant growth of hyperpartisan alternative news sources from both sides of the spectrum since then, it is now at a fever’s pitch. In the last election, Trump and his fans took it to an unprecedented level with their constant chants to have their opponent locked up. That strategy worked and Trump won an amazing victory. It was by far the biggest upset in US political history. A perfect storm was created by effectively trashing Clinton for years leading up to the election. It appears that the Democrats are now using the same tools in an attempt to trash Trump using Congressional hearings and insisting that Trump is a criminal who should be locked up. That’s the political climate we live in.

That said, I believe at this point, the Democrats have the distinct advantage of still having time to choose a candidate who will be hard for Trump to paint as a slimy lying criminal. The Democrats already have their target and they also have plenty more time to continue to trash him and his administration as a bunch of sleazy lying crooks by calling witnesses to appear before house Commitees on national TV right up until the election.

Trump on the other hand has the advantage of his incumbency and the bully pulpit which can be priceless unless he keeps sticking his foot in his mouth saying petty nasty things which don’t help him at all and punching down at freshman congress critters with little or no power. If Barr and IG Horowitz can find proof that the whole Russian investigation was a witch hunt set up by angry Democrats as Trump and his sycophants have been claiming from the start, Trump will easily win. However, I think that is a pipe dream and a huge longshot. At any rate, I think we are in for a real barn burner next year. My prediction is that whichever Democrat gets the nomination will win the popular vote by 5 million and carry Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Florida to win the White House back.

 

They're the ones who wants to keep breaking the law. When Canadians want to cross the border, they do it the legal way. Why should we pander to those certain types of people?

 

A poll came out and said Biden was ahead of Trump by 8 in Ohio. I still think Trump will carry OH, but just letting you know.

 

I don’t think those polls are worth spit now and I will be surprised if Biden is the nominee. Once it gets down to 3 or 4 candidates left, I think the Dems will come to their senses and nominate a younger candidate with a lot less baggage.

These people are diseased. But we've known that for over 150 years. When the Republicans won the Civil War, their terms for the Democrats ,,, go home and put down your arms. No punishment, just a call for reconciliation. What did the Democrats do? They murdered Lincoln and attempted to murder Johnson and Seward. Nothing has changed with the Democrat Party.
