again, you have confidence that ZERO Americans are willing to work in a meat packing plant? This must mean that 100% of all meat packing plants employ 100% illegals? < sorry but I'm convinced you are wrong, but rather than have a useless discussion on that i'll just move along. I'll stock up on chicken and burgers tonight before the supply line drys up just in case.

This is a logical fallacy. There is an ongoing investigation. In case you are unaware how law works, they need to build a case that will win in court. Mississippi has a good history of prosecuting businesses that hire illegals.

I know you put out some official looking stats there, but woah, a member on a message board said they don't get crap, its a coin toss as to who's right. <sarcasm.

Scary that those figures are ONLY for Los Angeles too, multiply that by how many cities we have big and small and that adds up rather quickly eh? And unfortunately the majority if not all candidates on the dem side want to do more.

Yes Austtalia does have very different laws....most all nations outside of the United States have very harsh immigration laws:https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/22/world/australia/immigration.html

Personally I have no interest, but if you like, I understand why you don't like the sanctuary cities.

Well if it is their jurisdiction, fine, but I always considered law enforcement inconsistent in their application. With this food processing place an example.

How was this not in the jurisdiction of ICE?

What was the comment about the sheriff about?

Why are you avoiding an answer since this is the situation we face?

Do you like sanctuary cities and states?

I never said it wasn't ICE jurisdiction. As for the sheriff, they most certainly knew that amount of people were not USA citizens. They most certainly turned a blind eye to what was going on at the plant.

The Sheriff has no jurisidction over immigration issues...so even if the Sheriff knew he/she could do nothing about the immigration issue.

When states have tried to pass their own imimgration policies...such as Arizona, in 2010, the left went nuts. The Obama Admin sued Arizona for trying to do something: https://www.reuters.com/article/us-...na-over-immigration-law-idUSTRE6653Q320100707

Well it seems they have release a large portion of those arrested.

As we all know from the 2018 Farm Bill debate, the left does not want folks on welfare to have to work. They literally held American farmers, and hemp legalization hostage to ensure that folks getting food stamps did not have to even try and find work.

Again, I understand the sheriff cannot arrest them for being illegals, but Trump supporters have called for them to have that power. Anyways, that place in MS may not have officially claimed a sanctuary city, it sure did act like one for the sake of the plant.

They need to take a lesson from Gingrich and Kaisch and their welfare reform.

Of course....if the Sheriff had the power things would be much different. How did they act like a sanctuary city? It sure sounds like they worked with the Federal Govt and arrested these illegals......in San Fran, they won't do that.

Well you have to recall, that's when Bill Clinton was the leader of the DNC, before the party was taken over by radicals. Bill Clinton of the 90s would not be allowed in the modern DNC

Clinton was forced to sign on with the Republican welfare reform.

    ...
Clinton campaign consultant Dick Morris, who was not at the meeting, had told the president that adding a third veto to the two Clinton had issued to earlier welfare plans could be politically catastrophic, according to administration officials familiar with his advice.

Morris and some other advisers were worried that a veto would put Clinton on the opposite side of what polls say is overwhelming public sentiment for revamping welfare, would open a door for Dole, and would contradict Clinton's methodical efforts over the past year to show the electorate that he is a centrist who shares middle-class values about work and responsibility.

Then your positions on immigration have no merit.
