"Democratic presidential candidate Marianne Williamson, calling for a national "atonement" over the treatment of Native Americans, vowed Monday to rescind medals of honor for those who fought against them and even take down President Andrew Jackson's portrait from the Oval Office if she's elected." She talked of a" new era of American history" and stated: "We can atone. We can make amends," Williamson said. "And if and when I'm president of the United States, we will." National "atonement"? That's a scary turn of phrase. *shutter*. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/wi...rt-of-atonement-for-native-american-treatment
He is an American Hero who saved us from the British and marauding bands of Indians who fought against us and engaged in massacres of whites and Indians alike.

The was of 1812 was already over and well...the Trail of Tears says it all. Granted I do understand it was a different time, but war mongering and racial division still seems to be a thing for the dems
Trump putting that painting in, crossing party lines, could be why the dems have turned their back on the father of their party
The Creek Indians he fought were our enemies in the War of 1812, supported the British and were still engaged in attacking white and Indian settlers rather than enter into a peace agreement. The Creek Indians who fought with the United States still occupy their tribal lands, have their tribal leaders and do a big business in their agriculture light manufacturing and casino's. Search Porch Creek Indians. BTW the leader of the renegade British supporting Creeks eventually changed his position and worked WITH Jackson and I was just recently at the monument to him just north of where his followers had massacred the settlers at Fort Mims which led to the Battle at Horseshoe Bend where that band of Creeks was defeated. Same with the Seminoles in Florida.
