ANYONE should be able to visit their grandmother. The whole idea of Israel controlling the lives and access of Palestinians living in Palestine is absolutely unacceptable.

For those living in Gaza, they can't even LEAVE to attend college - or visit anywhere. It's an open air prison with a strong blockade - which IS an act of war.

You mean his statements which FOLLOWED Israel's decision? Surely you can't be serious!

He stated that it would show a "great weakness" if Netanyahu allowed these US congressmen to visit.

It would be a great weakness for a foreign country to respect duly elected US congressmen!!

    Before or after Israel's decision?

So you would say that it would be "great weakness" for an African country to ban racist Steve King from visiting? Or do you have an INSANE double standard?

    - First lets see if Ilhan Omar even qualifies for US citizen status (let alone as a Congress Critter)? I'm referring to her incestuous marriage claims upon entering the US - etc. Then there is some peculiar district, town, county issues w/ the "venerable" Rashida Talib... not actually living in her father's (home - as claimed) town / district ~ (AT ALL).

    - Not one to get bogged down by the technicalities... these x 2 are (imho) an abomination to the US Congress & are effectually 'termite-ing' the doors of our Constitution. The culture of decorum in the Middle East esp. w/ the few 'stalwart women that are societally leveraging' to get even a snippet of equality shown in their hegemonic culture, is undermined by the likes of these two frosh. reps making a grand international scene - when they could have just joined the 90+ US envoy going there at the same time! (U be the judge on that cus the MSM will have y'all twisted)... :)

    - Bombastic displays of disingenuousness (esp. by Rashida) are not helping anyone!!! ( NOT even her poor Grandmother)
    Shame! Shame... Shame!!! (IMHO - O'course)... :)

I don't give a flying [expletive] who Israel lets into their country, or doesn't let in as the case may be. That is their business. I do have a problem with the US government feeding Israel on the taxpayer teat. We are massively in debt and borrowing money to function. That should mean an end to welfare for other countries.

And much as the left screams racism at every opportunity, the right appears to scream anti-semitism (racism) every time someone proposes taking Israel off of the US teat. I don't understand this at all. If the people in Israel are Semites, aren't the people in the lands they have occupied also Semites? I would think the population in the occupied lands has a high percentage of semites than Israel, a country settled to a large degree by Europeans.

Well I have to agree with you on the last sentence. You seem to actually know what a Semite is unlike a lot of people posting here.

However, are you aware that Israel is a country founded on Socialism and left wing principles?

Things like that have a higher likelihood of happening when fleeing a regime like Nazi Germany.

There is a reason to support Israel with money and even arms. And that reason is tactical. Israel is really the best platform that we have against the rest of the ME should we need to go into a war in that region. That is the reason that we need to support Israel. Not out of any feel good reason. But out of a tactical advantage. Name me any other country in the ME were we have such a tactical advantage.

So I assume that you're against Media Matters from digging back far for dirt like with Tucker Carlson. Or do you have an INSANE double standard?

What makes you think that they were refused entry because they are Muslim? Do you have even a single SHRED of evidence to support this idea? And if racist Steve King was refused entry to an African country, I'm sure that you would complain about that country's "refusal to tolerate" him! :roflol: Or do you admit that you have an INSANE double standard?

I was waiting for that argument. The fact is our support for Israel does nothing but make enemies and cost money. Of course as you no doubt are aware we have bases and facilities throughout the Middle East Seems like we have more in Saudi Arabia than Israel and of course we have staged a couple of wars out of Saudi Arabia. If you are open minded, I suggest reading Michael Scheuer's book that addresses the negative impact of our pro-Israel policy

I'm feeling 'old' in my anecdotal 'life experiences'; - go figures, lol... This is the US of A where I can wantonly castigate my cares upon another "traveler" to ~ hoist upon themselves ~ in my behalf... hmmmmmmm?

I say the only way Israel allows Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib into their country is if they agree to wear a Muzzle like this and Donald Trump holds the key to unlock them.[IMG]

Yeah....and our relationship with Saudi Arabia is about as solid as mercury.

As for the impact of our pro-Israeli stance...yeah, already know and don't really care. And I'm certainly not going to read anything from that guy. A terrorist sympathizer has no room in my world to be considered.

Hopeful taxpayers will at some point care. The so called war on terror has cost the US about six Trillion dollars give or take.

So the first really credible person to warn people about Ben Laden is in your words a terrorist sympathizer? Of course what could a man (Scheuer) know who merely directed CIA operations against Ben Laden and had 22 years of CIA experience?

You basis for this claim is what exactly? We have been allies with them since WWII. How solid was our relationship with Israel when they deliberately attacked the USS Liberty and killed American Sailers.

If you claim the attack was an accident the people who were there, i.e., the survivors say it was deliberate. The fact that it was a deliberate attack is documented by this book.

The argument which I have heard most is the President of the United States asking Israel to ban Democrat Senators visiting....something about still pretending they are a democracy comes to mind.
