Fracking shale oil producers have freed the US of OPEC's clutches. And now we have price leverage against OPEC that's causing heartache in its members.

With that advantage that Trump has brought us, what would Democrats do?

Nearly half of all Democratic presidential candidates would support banning fracking if elected, according to a new presidential candidate survey released by the Washington Post.

Cory Booker, Pete Buttigieg, Bill de Blasio, Tulsi Gabbard, Jay Inslee, Wayne Messam, Bernie Sanders, Eric Swalwell, Elizabeth Warren, and Marianne Williamson all support a ban on hydraulic fracturing, or fracking.
Oh yeah, let's let a Democrat run the country!

Concerning that Trump was following Obama's energy policies on oil production, good on Trump.

    Keep it up.

You must be using a different definition for the word "fact" than I was previously aware of. Kindly provide (chortle! as if you would) a source.

Lolz ... Obama's policies put Ttump on the road to the White House. Increased US oil production and export is a direct result of Trump's repeal of Obama era regs and restrictions. Obama recklessly targeted the US fossil fuel industry, and the DNC is hatching multi trillion dollar deficit schemes to destroy it. Facts.

We are just supposed to take your word for it?

And against all the court documents, legislative papers and hard data collected that says otherwise?

NullSpot the Destroyer should be listening to Draco.

But Draco is wrong about hard documents: nothing shows the outcome of Obama's policies other than growing energy independence.

You guys can continue arguing amongst yourselves until you come up with a common proposition and argument,

And you move briskly in a retrograde maneuver to the rear. What a shame you couldn't find a shred of evidence to back up your claims.

And now we see, yet again, why the Left is trying to deplatform the Right: the Left can't support its arguments with facts, so the Right trounces them every time.

Fracking has been in common use since 1960.. just not in the US.

OPEC is selling to the East and that market is increasing.

I'd rule out anyone but Biden, Warren, Sanders and Harris at this point. Probably even rule Harris out.

That leaves a 50% support among VIABLE Democratic candidates who have a hope in hell of winning.

Presidents have very little to do with the PPB.. So you can't credit Obama or Trump.

Bush made a geopolitical blunder with his invasion of Iraq.. Libya's production collapsed for obvious reasons. Syria's production had been declining for 20 years and isn't fit for asphalt anyway.

Actually fracking goes back to 1947..

These hyper-partisans don't know much about anything much less the oil business.

I'm sorry, did I say Trump invented fracking? Because I just double-checked and I'm not seeing it.

As for your graph, that shows fracking prospered in spite of Obama's attempts to kill it:

GOP opposes Obama's 11th-hour ploy to shut down fracking
House Republicans raised the alarm Thursday over an 11th-hour ploy by the Obama administration to cancel oil and gas leases and shut down fracking on federal lands.

There's rawl crude oil exports and refined crude oil exports.

Many crude exporting countries don't have the infrastructure to refine crude oil into gasoline, diesel fuel, etc.

The United States does even though liberal progressives don't want any new refineries built in America especially in California.

US companies had never used fracking so they needed to get it right and clean up their act. They did and the sloppy ones fell by the wayside.

There are thousands of oil leases available on Federal lands. Always have been.

So what do you think about the Democrat candidates wanting to ban fracking?
