As Trump gets more desperate in his bid for reelection he may try to do something to create some excitement. Getting rid of Vice President milk toast might make sense.
Niki Halley has been off in the wings. Do you think Trump may try a "Palin" to gain some votes or would losing Indiana offset the gain?

Trump, at any time in his very short political career, has never been less desperate than he is at this very moment in time. Thanks for the laugh.

Democrats should draft Nikki Haley as their standard bearer. The deal would be, "If you come with us we will guarantee you will become president in 2020." Hitching her star to Trump would be a political death sentence and she knows it.

I think he might dump him for the simple reason that Pence is one of the few with the power to enact the 25th amendment. If he leaves that post vacant he protects himself

There is a whole line of succession for the presidency. Democrats are just announcing their wildest dreams. Pence's job is very safe, much like Biden's was. Whoever kills Trump, get's a very conservative Christian with a lot of sympathy support after an assassination in the Oval Office. Just like whoever killed 0bama would get an addle brained gaff machine for a president. VP choice is in some ways an insurance policy.

The Vice President can do nothing regarding the 25th Amendment on his own.

Interesting idea, but no. There's no obvious animosity between Trump and Pence. It's not a necessary move and wouldn't have an affect on the EC. Trump isn't concerned about the popular vote, hence no need for virtue signalling inclusiveness.

Pence in VP is the biggest deterrent to impeachment imaginable.

Imagine this, Trump has found the single individual in the contiguous United States that the Dems hate more than himself and made him his backup.

Possibly the smartest move in his whole Presidency to date.

The 25th is not a legitimate option. I mean, it can be - the VP and cabinet can invoke it for any reason or no reason at all - but it is not worth the political capital, especially when Trump has a year before an election.

It'd be like Dems packing the Supreme Court when they're one justice down and the next two to go are Republican appointees.

    Not really worth the hastle.

Pence ought to dump Trump and run on his own. He's a nutcase but at least he seems to have a small reserve of integrity and decency, at times. And I don't see Pence getting on Twitter and posting fake weather maps.

Pence is a Eunach and Trump likes that because Eunachs do not pose a threat to Trump.

The deranged libs are not even embarrassed to have been wrong and utterly humiliated on ALL their predictions, theories and prophecies during the last 4 years, they merely continue to spew more and more new and refurbished idiotic theories and prophecies.

It's actually sad how some people never learn.

Tough to say but I don't think Niki Halley would be first in line. Pence is there to capture the religious right vote.. don't think Niki fits that bill.
