Violence is down. Puritanical and irrational concern for what consenting adults do with their time, not hurting anyone else, is the only thing fuelling this nonsensical outrage.

Someone or party has to abide the constitution.
Are you implying Christians don't want to abide by it? Are you for forcing a certain religion on the country?

    Disagree all you want.
Redlining was a big factor in creating the ghetto parts of cities today.
Being told to sit at the back of the bus or not being able to get on the bus is discrimination.

So, disagree all you want. It doesn't change facts or history.

I don't believe I said anything about human character. So why would I need to prove otherwise or explain.

I doubt god spoke anything to any human being.

    https://simple.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_gods_and_goddesses
Here is just a small list of gods of the world.

Pretty absurd comment given you are referring to something of ether.

There were less fatherless children among blacks prior to the sixties. Chew on that.

    How about "Allah Bless You"?
I bet many would have a hissy fit if one were to say allah akbar if something good happened in school.

BTW - Allah is Arabic for God.
Allah (/ˈælə, ˈɑːlə, əlˈlɑː/;[1][2] Arabic: الله‎, romanized: Allāh, IPA: [ɑɫˈɫɑː(h)] ([IMG]listen)) is the Arabic word for God in Abrahamic religions.

What makes you say "Are you for forcing a certain religion on the country?"

I merely stated a fact that a liberal Warren Court (made up with a majority of FDR appointees) stopped prayer in school. Do you agree or disagree with it being a fact?

The op stated their opinion of a moral and religious decline and as far as I'm aware praying is a core part of religion is it not?

    • Insulting or personally attacking other posters (Rule 2)
<Rule 2> Never said God spoke to a human being. What I said is, he spoke material things into being. You say chance, I say God. I think the chance of something out of nothing is impossible short of a miracle. I know the list of gods in the world. Your god is the god of self. I speak of God.

Absolutely. Righties, only care about righties and no other person or group.

It's I got mine, you can't have it. I want more, get away.

Wait a minute, are you actually implying that Trump lies as equally as every other politician?

That's a pretty bold statement to put out there with there being literally a mountain of data that contradicts you.

So many could be any multiple of one. AME is the African Methodist Evangelical Church. The were definitely not Transcendantalist. Neither were the Quakers. The Transcendentalist were primarily friends and immediate family members of Emerson and Thoreau.

I agree and it should have been stopped. There are far to many religions to pray to each and every god in the world.

    I told you this already.

Pray at home, pray at church. Pray on the street. Don't waste public time with prayer. And which religions prayer would you prefer. To be fair, all religions prayers would have to be said.

Ad hom noted. Thanks, that's the admission you have no real argument and have conceded the debate.

Chance? Now you are resorting to just making up BS, pulling it from your backside, I presume.

    What language was this spoken?

Who ever said anything about nothing?
What exactly is nothing? Can you prove there is nothing?
I doubt it, for you think your god has always existed. So why could energy not always existed?

All I was doing was pointing out potential evidence to possibly support ops claim and everyone freaked out and personally attacked me and inferred meanings that weren't there lol

My thoughts on op claim is it's basically irrelevant because regardless of what Democrats did or didn't do people are what societys made up of and people are a moral and history has shown us that with past civilizations. Maybe just maybe Democrats hastened the decline but the decline was always going to happen.

Your knowledge of the Transcendentalists appears to be a bit superficial. While many were among a circle of Yankees who were friends, family, and acquaintances of Thoreau and Emerson, they also included disciples of both genders (highly unusual for the time) who conducted what were called "conversations" (chats about news or life issues in coffee shops or other venues which they called 'communities'), read their many books and publications (including the Dial), lived in utopian societies, went to college, attended meetings in Lyceums (of which there were several thousand in the USA), and met at Yankee churches. They were not a small circle of friends at all. To this day they have tens of thousands of disciples, myself among them.
