In this transcript, Trump explicitly names his personal attorney and the attorney general as someone with whom the President of Ukraine should discuss any potential negative findings regarding Trump's political opponent.

The attorney general being named means that he is explicitly conflicted out of any investigation.

 

No quid pro quo. Aid money was never mentioned. No quid pro quo, no impeachable act PERIOD

Not a full transcript per the transcript. It actually says that.

In order to validate anything, the whistle blower's complaint needs to be reviewed along with this transcript and discrepancies noted. Then someone needs to go back and investigate those discrepancies before you say all is clear. None of that needs to happen in public view yet, that's all Congressional committee stuff. But once that's complete, then you would know if it as a problem or not. Right now, all you have is not full transcript approved by the person whose the subject of the complaint. It's called trust, but verify. For now, we can trust that this is true content of the phone call. Until we verify otherwise, which if it's a non-issue then again, I don't expect there to be much push back from Trump or the White House to put this issue to bed. If there is push back, the only logical conclusion is this isn't a complete picture of what was said.

 

Setting aside that we do not have a full transcript here...

The money was already being unilaterally held up by Donald Trump before this conversation took place. It was released the moment that a whistleblower complaint regarding "several incidents" was made known to the Congress.

 

I am about sick and damn tired of these bullshit attacks. Democrats need to answer for this latest pile of nothing.

You don't know that because as is noted in the transcript, this isn't a word for word of what was said. The President and his people released this, so if they removed one sentence that mentioned aid, YOU have no idea. What you need to know is what the whistle blower said. But you are now going to tell me that the transcript is good enough blah blah blah. Oh and Trump couldn't play the fiddle even if he wanted to, all that orange crust would ruin the instrument.

Negligent? And here I thought the latest talking point was that he was required by law.

If there was actual corruption with Biden, then the FBI would have been notified, the Ukrainian Prosecutor would have found evidence of wrongdoing, and the various other agencies who have reviewed this allegation would have found wrongdoing.

Instead, Trump - desperate from seeing his poll numbers failing (especially against Biden), sought to obtain help from the leader of a foreign government to investigate his political opponent while simultaneously and unilaterally holding up hundreds of millions of dollars in financial aid.

 

Hmmm...the curious thing about the transcript is that apparently the call was made approximately a week AFTER Trump blocked payment of some $400 million in aid to Ukraine and prior to him subsequently releasing it, yet it isn't discussed at all in the telephone conversation? Did the Ukraine President know about the blockage? Why didn't Trump mention it?

Foreign leaders are not subject to our constitution, so how are they protected by a right to privacy in your mind?

 

The entire memorandum is a huge smoking gun. Bad mouth Europe for not giving aid, ask for favors regarding Crowdstrike and the Biden's, set up Giuliani and Barr as the contacts that should be used.
