I still can't believe that, after three years of nonstop hoaxes, there are people trying to pass this latest sham off as having a shred of legitimacy.

I’m pretty unemotional about impeachment. Kind of like watching two college football teams play you care nothing about.

That said, the concern you’re responding to stems from the fact a trial in the senate is highly unlikely. A pseudo grand jury style investigation is going on, but only information that can be construed to be damaging to the administration is being leaked. In the end it will be just a scam to damage the administration’s credibility without there ever being a platform for a defense to be mounted.

As someone who would love to see a senate trial, I’m pragmatic enough to see it’s very unlikely to happen.

 

In Trumps case, its not pseudo patriotism.

I noticed no American flags at the last democrat debate.

 

Rumor and hearsay are not legally damaging in court and that's all he's. It's interesting to note that Burisma has at one time or the other pretty heavily lined Mr Taylor's pockets as well.

 

Mueller appears to have failed so trump had to step up and drive the nail himself.

 

That's one concern, but it doesn't match the complaints about Trump unconstitutionally being denied his "due process"/legal rights or the claims that this is equivalent to Stalinism/fascism.

I think it is fairly likely that the House will draft articles of impeachment and vote on them. Give it maybe 60/40. I have no expectation that the Senate will vote to convict/remove.

 

Yeh it’s politics so anything goes. It doesn’t have to be fair or nice. Trump won’t be nice back.

So the fact that the house under Democrats saw fit to give both Clinton and Nixon such privileges means nothing because that red haze that shows up before you eyes when the Trump is uttered blinds you to the duplicity of the Dems double secret probation strategy.

 

It means they've done it in the past, nothing more, and I'd have to verify that much. It could mean it is a good idea for them to do it now, but it doesn't establish any kind of requirement. You'd also need to look at all cases of impeachment, not just Presidential.
