I thought I would be happy when they finally nailed Trump, but instead I'm a little sad for our country that this could happen. Bill Taylor iced it today with his testimony. Just his opening statement was all it took. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2019/10/22/takeaways-bill-taylors-crucial-opening-statement/
It is deeply disturbing to come to grips with the fact that someone so obviously corrupt and incompetent, something we knew even before 3 years of continuous examples, could have been elected in the first place.
I'm still waiting for the Mueller report to put the final nail in Trump's coffin. any day now, I suspect...
Oh you have not become to feel sad, when the Stalinist nonsense concocted by Schitt is thrown out of the Senate and Trump is found innocent and acquitted, do let us know then how you feel then.... and when Trump is reelected. LOL PS those will your real, not crocodile tears btw
It will be enough for me that the House did their duty. What the Senate republicans do is on their conscious.
What makes it worse is the knowledge most Trumpette's are sticking with him even after the mountain of evidence he is unfit to be prez and should be removed from office.
Yeah, what's with that? It's like they can't believe their eyes and ears. Or maybe Hillary was right and they are just deplorable.
Word on the street is that John Ratcliffe squashed Bill Taylors' QPQ opinion. Oh well, on to the next gullible sap witness.
I agree that Trump is unfit to be prez, and I even left the Republican party when Trump won the nomination, so disgusted was I with the whole thing. But the fact that he infuriates the left and still manages to win tickles me to no end. So bring on four more years.
Kangaroo court, the denial of due process, secret investigations and trials in best traditions of Stalin's Gulag, lies, smear, cherry-picked leaks, distortions, spin.... Rest assured the grown ups in the Senate will do their duty and acquit.
So, attempting to bring down a President based purely on vitriolic hate brings happiness to your life? Really? It's time for you to put down the keyboard and go outside and get some fresh air.
CNN just announced that Schiff has a whistleblowers sworn documentation that Trump killed Roger Rabbit.
Die hard Trump supporters are another thing that makes me sad. It's troubling that there are people that would condone violations like this from the President. But it does make me happy that the system will forever put the impeached asterisk next to Trump's name.
Democrats, left-wingers, liberals, Communist, Socialist, Marxist, Antifa and unwashed hippies make me sad. What violations? Trump isn't going to be impeached.
Taylor's opening statement: "I am a life-long career bureaucrat, I am a card carrying member of the elitist swamp, I resent the fact that Trump does things differently from his predecessors, I am pissed that Trump conducts his foreign policy the way he sees fits, not the way we career bureaucrats see fit... oh and I have absolutely zero first hand knowledge of any kind of quid pro quo or any other improprieties but I hear lots of rumors and gossip according to which orange man bad". I kid you not, this IS his entire opening statement in not so many words. PS and it took Radcliffe 2 minutes to completely destroy Taylor and wipe the floor with him... I wonder why Schitt would not release the transcript of the testimony?
I was actually worried that we might lose the rule of law. So, even though I know that, all in all, this is a dark page in our history, the fact is that rule of law can now be restored. Rather than happy, what I am is relieved.
I really think that as public pressure mounts many republicans will reevaluate their loyalty to trump — not for duty to the country but to their seat. I think trump’s ego is too large to resign so we might see the first removed president in history. I agree though — sad for America. As is this: Russian Troops Overtake Former U.S. Base in Northern Syria https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2019...rtake-former-us-base-in-northern-syria-a67860
I did. Did you? Here is the summary of his 16 pages: -He is a career bureaucrat -whining during the first 5 pages that Trump does things his own way -did not read the transcript -has absolutely no first hand knowledge of QTP or any other improprieties -but he spoke to someone who heard rumors from someone else who claimed to have read the transcript Prove me wrong.
The aspect of being deplorable..........the racism, the intolerance, the homophobia, the xenophobia..........I don't think it relates to their denial of Don's guilt. That comes from a refusal to accept responsibility for being conned.
