Appeared? Appeared to whom? To everyone? No, to them--maybe. See, they shared an opinion. A terrible, morally reprehensible one. But, again, opinion. Not journalism. Opinion. That's the entire point. My original point, which you took objection to, was that they have opinion in the part of the paper that is supposed to be free of it. You said, "They don't." I pointed to that article. To which you are now trying to change the original point to arguing for their perspective, morally disgusting as it was, since you cannot reasonably argue that that was not an opinion.

But they did not just describe what happened. If they had simply said that Pence ignored her, that's one thing, but they said, and I repeat,

"Flashing a sphinx-like smile and without ever speaking in public, Ms. Kim managed to outflank Mr. Trump’s envoy to the Olympics, Vice President Mike Pence, in the game of diplomatic image-making."

That's an opinion. What's worse is that they did not say that she "appeared" to outflank him, which is your spin on it, which would still have been terrible. No, they said that she "managed to outflank [Pence]." No "appearing" or any of its variants in that quote. They did not have to compliment her at the American Vice President's expense by saying that she "managed to outflank [Pence]." If you don't see what is morally objectionable about that opinion, again, you continue to illustrate that you are beyond the pale. You are the personification of the ideological divide in this country.

How are you still arguing this? I just cited the New York Times admitting they changed the headline, even though you sarcastically contested that. You don't speak the truth. I actually proved that you don't speak the truth, by citing the New York Times. You defend the New York Times, even when they don't even give you grounds to do so. You're like their spokesperson who did not get the memo. You adamantly deny that they changed their headline, even though they specifically said that they "decided to change it" in their paper for all to see. I cite it in the same post that you cite of me, and you still don't get it. I mean, I feel bad for you.

They said "Twitter," which is shorthand for "left-wing mob." What, are you going to argue that Twitter is not a left-wing cesspool? That the owners of Twitter are not liberally biased?

He's some free advice. If you're not familiar with a subject, perhaps don't arrogantly pretend that you do by pompously arguing, making a total fool of yourself. Do some reading, and once you have knowledge of what you're talking about, then say something. So far, you've failed to do that.

So why didn't they simply kill him when they originally got his DNA?

Actually, the US declared them a target of the war on terror back in 2004, but they have existed as a terrorist organization since 1999. They didn't control enough territory to be considered a caliphate until 2014, but they were formerly known as the Organization of Monotheism and Jihad.

Wouldn't his DNA be on record from his time spent at Camp Bucca?

Again, how am I to know? Maybe they collected the DNA after he was in an area, and didn’t know reliably where he would be next. Maybe they had a particular cell phone number they were waiting to be used so they could triangulate on it. I know from my own experience in Iraq that is how we captured a few HVT’s. The CIA has a particular phone number they would wait to pop up. When that number was finally used they would triangulate on the signal, then we would plan our raid and go get the guy. Sometimes even that wasn’t reliable though. There could be any number of variables that they were waiting on to make sure the intel was perfect.

Did we have him as a prisoner? If so, then yeah, we definitely would have had his dna I would think.

Well, that’s how we have his dna then, and that is how his death was verified.

Josh, he wasn't the head of ISIS when he was imprisoned in Iraq.

That came later-with the Obama administration/denial.

Just FYI, the President said in his statement that they do not use cell phones anymore. Someone probably just gave him up, lots of questions on their area of operation considering Baghdadi and his two other top guys were killed in Turkish controlled areas near the Turkish border.

yeah, I’m not pretending to know the details. All I’m saying is that the CIA and JSOC have their methods, and are good at what they do.

You've really gone off the rails here. Who exactly did the US declare war on in 2004?

Hold on, did you really just say a "peaceful resolution" ? Turkish forces immediately launched an attack on the Kurds within a couple of days that Trump announced he was withdrawing US support from the Kurds. I guess you didn't read about Kurds being murdered, women and children fleeing were killed by Turkish military. Women were being raped and stoned and all filmed on video. How can you possibly say it was a 'peaceful resolution'? U.S. forces in this area of Syria have assisted Kurdish allies with keeping ISIS fighters detained and now those terrorists are free and will metastasize like cancer.

Turkey’s offensive against the Kurds has allowed ISIS fighters to escape and regroup. Al-Baghdadi's death
in the raid on Saturday occurred largely in spite of, and not because of, Trump's actions. The raid by the 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, (Delta Force), was carried out Oct. 26 after a complicated CIA intelligence-collection operation aided by Syrian Kurdish forces and other U.S. partners in the region, including Iraqi Kurdistan. The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) spent five months working with the U.S. government to gather intelligence on Baghdadi’s whereabouts,

Killing al-Baghdadi will not undo the damage caused by Trump's decision to withdraw U.S. forces from the Turkey-Syria border, because that action precipitated a violent Turkish operation in northeast Syria.
