BREAKING: ISIS Leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi Killed in Raid

Well you know what they say about assuming things..

 

Well I don’t recall him naming anyone specially....but shifty is a massive leaker, and spreader of misinformation....he’s done it with all the closed hearings, going back the Russian stuff...and now he is stuck using “parody” hahah professional? Hahaha

 

While its too early to make any real judgments about the operation that led to Baghdadi being killed, for now, the version presented by Trump had a lot of fanciful details that bears no relationship to the facts that were observed by those reporting from the ground -- or which have been observed by reporters who have visited the scene after the incident. Specifically, the information that is available and backed up by video shows the US bombed the compound, then had special forces chase Baghdadi as he and some members of his family were chasing towards the Turkish border. The idea that US special forces first "broke down" some walls to the compound to enter the house seems ridiculous on its face, since if nothing else, that would simply expose them to unnecessary danger. (Unless Trump's idea of breaking down the walls was using bombs to level the house). The idea that Baghdadi blew himself up in a tunnel while being given chase might sound credible, but so far I haven't see any report depicting any of these tunnels were Baghdadi was supposedly escaping from or where he was killed. Instead, the footage that has been shown is of a charred vehicle/van.

Separately, the intelligence information used by the US was obviously provided to the Americans by the Iraqi government sources, including from the Kurdish government in Iraq. While it would make sense for the US to inform the Russians that its helicopters and planes would be flying in the area, the initial reaction from the Russian MOD didn't show them being informed. The Syrian and Iraqi governments, however, appear to have been aware of the incident since they had sources which reported it right around when it happened.

Frankly, given Trump's penchant to mix his fantasies with reality, and his inability to distinguish between the two, much of what he said about the operation seems more the product of his fanciful and boastful imagination than anything else.

 

Why did they "need" to be....Shifty leaks things, or at least his version of things, from closed hearings all the time...hence why he likes closed hearings.

 

The raid was at around 9:30 PM, EST.....it's dark then

I usually don't cheer someone's death but in al-Baghdadi's case I'm willing to make an exception.

While I'm not an expert on Islamic jurisprudence, I suspect that blowing himself up and killing three children in the process isn't gong to earn him a couch in Allah's celestial whorehouse.

From the photo it looks like only Gen. Marshall and Sec.of Def. Robert Gates know what's actually happening.

President Obama was completely out of the loop. He wasn't informed that the raid was taking place until the MH-60 helicopters had entered Pakistan airspace. Obama was playing golf when he was notified.
It was Admiral McRaven who was in charge and issued the order to whack OBL.

It is well documented that Obama made the final decision to go with the operation. Some of his advisors were for it, some were against it because it violated Pakistani sovereignty. Obama had the balls to make the decision to go. It is ludicrous to suggest that he didn't know about it and that someone else "issued the order".

And I have no problem with the operational commander sitting in the central seat. It is not the president's job to control the operation. That is what a chain of command is for. He took the big decision. The military then takes over and carries out his orders.

The two photos definitely show two different presidents. One who has advisers, listens, then decides. And cares about the outcome. Obama.

Another who takes all the credit for himself, puts himself at the center of everything, and cares about his own image above all else. Dirty Donny Bonespurs.

Of course they notified Russia, Russia provides the air defense for that part of Syria.

If I remember correctly (and I do) Obama could not stand to watch the raid, left the situation room and was playing with Reggie Love while the raid was going on

 

That's just a lie, it's more conspiracy theories from the right. Adam Schiff has never leaked anything and I defy you to prove he had. His "parody" as you call it, was straight talk for exactly what Trump had done, it seems necessary sometimes to put things in simple terms so Trump's supporters can understand what went on.

 

They say when Israel wants to conduct an airstrike against Hamas in Syria, Benjamin Netanyahu picks up a phone and calls Vladimir Putin and Putin issues an order for Russian air defense batteries in Syria to stand down.
