Not Residentially until this last decade { less than 12 years }.Metal roofs
have exploded in popularity as consistent with Metal Bldgs, over brick & mortar.
Most Cheaper homes go with metal roofs. It's like the New Baloney.
Instead Mortadella which is hard to find and much higher quality.

    Going all in, are ya?

No, most 'cheaper' homes don't necessarily go with metal roofs. A lot depends on the style of the house, but there are large houses with metal roofs, and there are small house with metal roofs.

The house I live in was built in 1994, WITH A METAL ROOF. A lot of the new construction in this area have metal roofs, and they run in the $250,000+ category, and I wouldn't by any means call them 'cheap'. Some metal roofs LOOK like shingles or shakes, but metal holds up better in storms, are fire retardant, and can look very, very nice. Why do you insist on following a incorrect path on this subject?

I think in places like Hurricane Alley you will see new and expensive
homes going with metal Roofs. Now that I think about it.
The First Metal Roof I ever saw was up at our Summer Home village.
The Family was rich { the Father ran a Bank } and the house was real
close to the beach. It was a big home real close to the beach and it
stood out.Because it was unconventional.A real head turner. The Family
had relatives in the neighboring section and they were all wealthy
and from Mansfield.I recall the father of that metal roof home ran a bank.
Or owned one in Mansfield. He had a Niece that was like a real hotsy-totsy.

Good morning barflies. Still in hospital, not much change in condition. Docs are as frustrated as me, but I understand dealing with immune system disturbances is never simple. Had 2 blood cultures taken 30 min apart at 3 am this morning. Once read, ID doc may call for even stronger antibiotics. We'll see. For now, I'm just here for the bad food and excellent staff. #keepyourchinup

AI sucks... I'm on number 3 or 4 now.... just a thought from me, but antibiotics aren't always the thing for AI, we can talk on it later, but think your gut...

Couldnt agree more. Cellulitis isn't an option either. Especially when it's moved into a blood infection. Lesser of several options, huh?

Nasty type infection. Misunderstood when you referenced immune issues, but dang, that can cause all sorts of bad backlash!
    Hang in there!

Thx, it's been a real challenge but the good news is I don't feel sick and I'm not in pain, so the biggest challenge is staying in bed and being a pin cushion to the multitude of ivs and bloodwork. Like a really bad dream. #keepyourchinup

20191028_115011.jpg My cleanup crew finished up and let me get a good couple picks of the West side of the pond. I have posted pics before but after a whole season of work I like to let others see it. 20191028_115011.jpg

From the Old Farmer’s Almanac Was Right Again department . . .

Snowing in Denver (again) and a temperature somewhere between 0 and 10 tonight. And we’re not even to November yet. Four and a half months before I head south for spring training in Phoenix. Oh well, time to fortify myself with a shot of brandy before I head out to shovel.

    Rats.

It's cold here, too. Not that cold, but cold (below freezing, barely, 29°). We have clear skies. The stars have been very, very pretty.

There is No Global Warming. That is a Globalist Lie based on cooked
and manipulated data { current actual temperatures and those of other
decades }.There is,however a distinct change in Climate.
The Seasons are acting different.Winters are later and summers
are longer.Sometimes Winters are earlier and summers are also earlier.
There is no consistency in the Seasons, any longer.
Plus we're actually In an Ice Age.I have explained that many times
    while discussing Global Warming.

I dunno about all of that. All that I know is that this year has been abnormally cool where I live.

I don't know. My eyes have been in too many places to have noticed. All I know is that this year has been cooler than usual, where I live.

It's been warmer than usual here, but now it's colder and wet. It's called weather. Ck the Farmers Almanac or wooly caterpillar for more info.

Feeling a little better. Blood infection has cleared. Started new antibiotics today for leg. Hope to get outta here in a day or so.
