That Republicans would do what the Democrats are now doing.

I meant would not do. And no they shouldn't.

They should be investigating Biden and the IMF. And the EU. For interference in Ukrainian investigations.. has Shokin. Or whatever his name is been replaced by a legit investigator things would be different.

Obama should be charged with a crime if he committed one. But as a Trump appointee is the head of the DOJ and has done nothing to bring charges against Obama, that speaks volumes. Same thing applies to Hillary Clinton.

LOL, figure of speech! I use the same line all the time! For starters it a more polite way of asking for something!

Example: "Would you do me a favor and scratch me under my nut sack, my hands have cake batter on them!" Thanks..

During your 3 years as a member of this forum, how often have you seen an objective Democrat or Republican, and when I say seen, I mean seen with a level of consistency in them. Sure one will run into the odd Democrat or Republican that can be objective periodically, but in my time here I would say the more consistently objective Democrats or Republicans are the exception rather than the rule. Seen very few in my 15 years here, although you may be one of them.

I cannot deny the logic of your argument. With that said I none the less think the impeachment is warranted as it is unethical to allow one with a vested interest (Trump) in the outcome of an investigation to play a part in said investigation as to do so is to openly invite bias into the investigation. Republicans claim to be against bias... when it is on the left anyway. If Republicans really cared about bias they would be calling out Trump. A few do, but most don't.

Thanks for the kind words and your input. I argue that those who have a vested interest in the outcome of an investigation should play no part in said investigation as to do otherwise is to openly invite bias into the process. No president should be allowed to use the Office of the President to investigate a political adversary that they may be facing in the next election. It's unethical and the Republicans would be up in arms if Trump were a Democrat while the democrats would defend a Democrat president that did what Trump has done. Both sides are guilty of many hypocritical double standards.

Who should we be relying on to order an investigation into the Bidens?

I get where you're coming from. And if Trump were conducting an investigation you would have a point. However by asking Ukraine to investigate he would not be involved in the investigations, Ukrainians would be. We can argue about whether he should have asked or not most certainly, but just asking for an investigation =/= being involved IN, or "playing a part" in the investigation. A person can ask the local police to investigate their wife/husbands murder...that doesn't mean that they would be playing a part in the investigation. See where I'm coming from?

It should also be noted that Dems have a vested interest in their investigation of Trump...considering how you have responded so far I would assume that you would apply the same logic that you just applied to Trump to them? And their actually conducting the investigations, far more "playing a part" than Trump. Of course Repubs could not conduct the investigation either under what you have said as they would have a vested interest. I agree with you on the general premise of what you said. This is generally why a special investigation is usually asked for, like Mueller. Yet none was appointed for THIS investigation....and that is one of the main reasons why I said what I did in the post you replied to. The Dems KNOW they have nothing. They just want to win 2020 and right now they can't do it on policy issues because the only policy issues being ran on right now they know are bat **** crazy that most Americans would be against.

Which is only impressive if they do the same when it comes to democrats as well. Pointing out that Republicans do the right thing when it is politically advantageous does not impress me. Both sides have one set of rules for the "in" group and another for the "out" group. Judgment or withholding judgment needs to be equally applied to those we like as well as those we oppose. Anything less is hypocritical.

Democrats barked the same thing when it came to Bill Clinton. Trump has done no wrong. We have his actual words as proof.

As to the Coup, tell the Democrats since they brought it up.

Explosion proof is your argument. No democrat can refute it. Well done in a professional manner.

The DOJ, State Department, NSA, CIA or any other agency with jurisdiction. There is no requirement for Trump to be involved with an investigation into a political adversary nor is it ethical to allow it. I sure would not want bias involved in an investigation of me nor would I want the same for Biden or Trump. When bias gets involved with investigations, good people can be hurt and bad people can escape justice. I resolutely stand against bias in investigations, no matter who is being investigated.

Thanks, I would just like to note that I wrote "their" a few times when I should have instead written "they're". :p Hate when I do that.

Funny how Democrats proceeded to accuse Trump then investigate the man. But they did not actually get away with it in the case of Mueller. We will find out a lot more from the Durham investigation. That is actually serious.

Asking for the investigation makes Trump a part of the process. I see you point but Trump has an obvious bias against Biden and should if nothing else not have any part for the sake of appearances. The investigation if warranted should be done by the DOJ, State Department, NSA, CIA or any other agency with jurisdiction. There is no requirement for Trump to be involved with an investigation into a political adversary nor is it ethical to allow it.

The impeachment of Clinton. I remember Repubs saying he was guilty at the beginning of all that. It's a common political tactic. If you want a more recent one there's Ilhan Omar on her marriage/immigration. Or AOC and her campaign financing scandal. iirc it was actually a Republican in Congress that filed the FEC complaint, can't remember exactly who though. …. Like I said, common political tactic.
