lol you say lack of knowledge yet you don't even know that within the actual text of the treaty, requests of such a nature are required to be made by the AG (or their designate) in writing. If the situation is an emergency, then other methods are available, but the necessary written request must be submitted within 10 days of the non-written request.

Also, Hunter has been on that board since 2014, yet only after the Dems accused Trump of using aid as blackmail for help against Biden, did the argument about 'corruption' be used (also, Ukraine has stated that the period of corruption that was originally investigated was prior to Hunter joining the board).

Also, finally, I've yet to hear how or why the US wants Ukraine to investigate Biden (Joe or Hunter) for 'corruption' yet the only "evidence" is that Hunter is Biden's son, and had no LNG experience prior to joining the board, yet ignoring the fact that it's obvious he was asked to join for his networking connections, the same as the ex President of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski, as well as Joseph Black ex-director of the CIA's counter-terrorism unit under GW Bush. The board is perfectly within it's rights to appoint whomever it wants to it's board, so why we should care if Hunter was appointed because of his last name or not.

So much so, that they scheduled an interview where they would make the announcement, but then quickly cancelled it when news broke in the States and the aid was released

Well, we have the diplomats saying this, one of the Giulianis' associates has flipped and is saying this, WhatsUp messages and individuals within Ukrainian Govt are supporting this. We even have Mulvaney saying it was.

I mean, I'm not sure what other evidence would be necessary (i mean, besides Trump admitting ot it, but that's usually not something investigators get bequeathed with)

From a national security aspect it is true that under a previous administration no lethal aid was given to Ukraine even after Russia annexed Crimea.

For sure. Yet, one would think that if such a document existed, and it's existence would clear up all the issues around this phone call, then such a document would have been produced by now......

*shrug* politics. The Ukrainian President still needs the US in it's battle against separatists and Russia. Plus it really really doesn't want to wade into US Politics, but it desperately needed (and continues to need) Aid from the US, so keeping the current guy in charge happy is likely priority number 1. I don't blame him one bit though, but as evidenced by his own staff, they only were going to make the announcement because of the Aid holdup. That they cancelled the announcement when the Aid was released is indicative that they only were going to do it because of the AID.
