“The Trump Administration is making it clear that we intend to clear the market of flavored e-cigarettes to reverse the deeply concerning epidemic of youth e-cigarette use that is impacting children, families, schools and communities,” Azar said in a statement. “We will not stand idly by as these products become an on-ramp to combustible cigarettes or nicotine addiction for a generation of youth.”

Flip flopping after a couple of days? You think that makes it better?

So someone in his administration wanted to clear the market.

That doesn't say what you want it to.

Maybe he was engaging in "shadow vape policy" over the bureaucrats who think they decide again.

I have you on ignore, so you'll have to forgive me if I don't read the links you provide very often. But the article in the OP makes explicit reference to the tweet that you cited and notes, correctly, that Trump is not explaining why his stance on the ban softened.

    Why not.

We have a parade of people telling us about Trump's "shadow foreign policy".

Maybe he had a "shadow vape policy".

Also, thanks for reminding us all that Trump referred to the first lady by saying, "She has got a son."

Yea. They cite to the Washington Post article about the internal polling be pushed around the White House.

But I don't particularly care if you think Slate is a reputable source. It is.

Its the final decision that counts. I am opposed to the use of vape products, but don't trust our government to make things better. I found a vape pen in my sons room. I filled it with oil of oregano and he hasn't taken a puff since!

I'm not sure of the legality of an outright ban...
