I do not agree at all that is the only way. Supreme courts may not accept a particular word or phrase or paragraph and still agree with the balance. My suggestion to Democrats has been, get up off the duff and create a Federal law. Create a law that clarifies that abortion is legal and does not rest on privacy issues. The order of the SC concerned rights of privacy. As the slave issue was handled by the legislature as they saw fit, and since they might also craft a pro abortion amendment if that is their choice, at least make laws. Laws are far easier to understand than reading both rulings in favor of an issue vs counter arguments also from the same court claiming otherwise.

An abortion law would be redundant. The issue is settled law. You can not outlaw abortions in any state. You need an amendment to do that.
