    http://nymag.com/intelligencer/2019...o-begin-drafting-articles-of-impeachment.html

    Democrats: * begin depositions *
    Republicans: WE NEED OPEN HEARINGS!
    Democrats: Okay.
Republicans: * unanimously vote against open hearings*

Democrats: * issue subpoenas for documents and witnesses *
White House: * refuses everything *
    Republicans: There's no evidence!

Democrats: * begin open hearings *
    Republicans: It's all hearsay!
Witnesses: I heard it straight from the President's mouth.
    Republicans: Ukraine hacked our election!
Witnesses: That's a pro-Russia narrative that holds no weight in truth.
    Republicans: CHALUPA!

Republicans: Trump isn't being given a chance to defend himself.
Nadler: Now is your time. Come present your case.
    Trump: Ha ha nope.
Republicans: Trump still isn't being given a chance to defend himself.

Republicans: Democrats want to rush Impeachment even though they could get more evidence!
Trump: Please rush Impeachment, but I won't let people testify or hand over documents.
Democrats: Ok, we will move forward with impeachment.

And for those who still think Impeachment is unlikely in the House...

Remember, one of the first witnesses the GOP said they're going to call is Schiff and he has plenty to explain, especially his spying on congressmen, reporters and the president's lawyer.

So far everything the left tried has blown up in their faces, why would this impeachment be any different?

    Bring it on.

Schiff is not going to testify. Just saying. He has no first hand knowledge to Trump's behavior surrounding Ukraine.

No. He will not testify. No matter what your right wing sources tell you.

They did because her victory was very much the most likely outcome. People place their money on the outcome that they believe is most likely to occur.

But hey, if you want to put your money on the "impeachment will not happen in his first term," you stand to make a 9:1 profit if he is never impeached during his first term.

He will have to.. You guys have been saying all along.. "No one is above the law".. The latest court ruling ( From an Obama judge mind you) said the same thing...

There is no question of the legality of EP with Schiff as it doesnt cover Congress.

On another note when i reply to people like you and cite information i almost always use left wing sources for a reason... To throw comments like yours in your face.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., celebrated Jackson's decision.

"Now that the court has ruled, I expect him to follow his legal obligations and promptly appear before the Committee," Nadler said in a statement.

    Ironic eh?

    https://www.npr.org/2019/11/25/7827...n-must-testify-delivering-blow-to-white-house

Jackson declared in her 118-page ruling that "presidents are not kings" and that "no one is above the law."

Now you might try to weasel your way out of "no one" but good luck with that.

Talk about a bottomless pit... Having Schiff and Nadler as the two leading faces of this scam isn't helping.

Pelosi is going to lose the vote of several more House Dems.

Meanwhile, the various crimes of the Obama administration are being systematically exposed.

It’s a half-assed investigation and impeachment. History books won’t be kind to contemporary Democrats.

Nearly all of the witnesses don’t have first hand knowledge. This impeachment is all about their feelings.

It will be interesting to see where this goes in the Senate. McConnell can move it along, or stall it as long as he wants. I would expect this trial will be much different than what we have seen thus far in the House. Schiff will not be the one making up the rules.

Did you read your link? Did you happen to pay attention to the legal privilege being exerted by Donald Trump as to why Don McGahn does not have to testify at all?

Pro-tip: Absolute Immunity is not the same as Executive Privilege. In fact, Jackson, in her 118-age ruling, explicitly noted that McGahn would still be free to appear and then claim executive privilege when appropriate.

And I never argued that Schiff won't testify because he will claim some type of privilege. I said that Schiff will not testify because his testimony is irrelevant.

Everyone of them had first hand knowledge. They also provided their own conclusions based on their assumptions given the information available to them.

I dare you to find a single conclusion which does not rely on any assumptions.

    On that, I can agree.

We still do not know the rules that will control in the Senate. I still hold out hope that McConnell and Schumer can reach a compromise akin to the rules package that passed 100-0 in the Senate during Clinton's impeachment. I doubt that Schumer has enough votes in the GOP to solely dictate the rules though.

I know you did not. I am telling you that Trump did. And that is the legal privilege being rejected by Judge Jackson.

    Pay attention.
