In 323 days, American voters decide who the next president will be. The poll question I'd like to see is "What's your priority? a) Ukrainian corruption or b) policy issues."

I'll be voting on the latter.

On the former, Democrat "leadership" has worn my patience with their relentless daily attacks and endless investigations which just look to me like an excuse not to get any meaningful legislation done.

The left media and Dems have made a guy who is a bully look like the victim of endless bullying attacks. Nice job Dems. The hypocrisy is palpable, and the Dem's party machine has become worse than Trump's quirky personality.

That chart shows where the Democrat's finally decided what kind of "wrongdoing" might stick after Mueller and Russia flat-lined on them. Their propaganda campaign moved the needle a little bit. This week, they will impeach Trump.

After Christmas, it's the Senate's turn. During an impeachment trial, the Senate is not allowed to work on anything except impeachment, 6 days a week. That will pull 4 of the 2020 Democrat candidates off the campaign trail.

Democrats have given new meaning to "win-win". They get to win impeachment and Republicans get to win acquittal. Everyone gets a trophy. That should make the left happy. Trump gets exonerated (again). That should make the right happy.

How does everyone like the new rules of political impeachment so far? Everyone happy?

    Most Americans confuse
    Impeachment with
    Removal from Office
    a power of the Senate.

    Si?

Bill Clinton was impeached but not removed from office.
NIXON was impeached and resigned rather than face being removed from office.

Sadly the Trump, like the Bill Clinton, impeachment
devalued "Impeachment" as intended by the founding fathers
    to a mere political exercise.
Symbolic of why G. Washington opposed the concept of political parties.
The NIXON Impeachment did evolve to bipartisan as assured removal from office.

    Shame on the House Democrats.
    Playing politics while infrastructure rots.

    And ignoring :flagcanada: too

I think that is his "request". I'm not certain of the "official rules", but I think that Republicans can set the rules and respect or ignore requests from the minority (just like the Democrats did). I'd like to see the Senate show more bi-partisan respect for the other side of the aisle than the House showed.

Was just reading this article....it has Schumer's list of requests.

How dare Fox run an unbiased poll !!! ....or maybe that's why they are number 1 in viewer ratings consistently.

That is just a request. I just finished that article, and it appears that the Senate can either compromise (McConnell and Schumer) on process, or the Senate can vote on how the procedure will be handled, meaning it's totally up to Republicans. I really hope that the Senate Republicans take the high road and do not run this like the House did.

It will be interesting to see if the Pubs can garner the votes to do any fun stuff.

Pssst! Democrats ran televised testimonies and House debates through the entire month of November...and the numbers didn't budge between October and now. (1% increase is within the 3 point margin of error.)

If the Democrat's official investigation were a tremendous success with the public, wouldn't the numbers change to reflect that?

    Just sayin'.

I'd prefer they earn more respect from the country than the Democrats did by being more fair and less partisan. This isn't supposed to be "fun".

They do have the votes to go either way: purely partisan or more compromising.

The number your overlooking is that 70% think what Trump did was wrong.

Are you talking about televised testimonies for Watergate? Yes. But the difference is that most of the country decided that Nixon was guilty because of compelling testimony. By contract, Democrats just spent a month trying to "get Trump" and public opinion did not budge one bit.

I was responding to the chart posted by Phyxius.

Does the public think that every other president in history was "right about everything" or maybe thinks that all were wrong now and then?

Mark Levin did a nice oration the other day about how we would have impeached every president for "abuse of power" if held to the same standards as the House Democrats are holding Trump. The charges against Trump are very weak.
