    yes but the demand will be less and less over the next twenty years. The post I responded to was to critical of German purchases of Russian Oil as it could destabilize Europe by enriching Russia. My response to this is that it is the multinationals corporations which keep oil prices high by not allowing oil to hit the market. Right now there are economic sanctions limiting oil sales from 3 of the largest oil reserves in the world. Iran, Russia and Valenzuela. What do you think the price of gas or heating oil or electricity would be if there was 10% More oil in the markert place next week, I would venture a 30% cut in prices.

    And we started it by overthowing the democratically elected person and placing the shah in power 60 years ago because he thought that Iranian oil belonged to Iran and not the oil companies.

    No, the Shah destabilized the country. The created a super rich but small elite, exploited the poor people at extreme levels. Why you think the Shah was hunted out like a dog?

    Set aside that he was a US muppet, his extreme corruption, led to his downfall. If the Shah had acted with dignity like emperor in Japan, Iran would not have been destabilized.

    So? Most religions have the same. Like you said they wanted one for hundreds of years and for hundreds of years it has not come to pass. If they want all believers united, fine by me. Again, how does it affect me or my neighbors. Do you think Russia is going to let them go north. India
    and China East? Do you think Europeans are quaking that the arabs are going to invade and Charles Martel is not around to stop them this time?

    The word caliphate is a arab sunni thing. It doesnt even exist in Shia islam.

    The real question: Did Trump squeeze the trigger for political points or out of national security necessity. In other words, because it pleases his base or sound military judgment? Either way, the world is better off today with one less psychotic Islamic terrorist.
