When Merkel visited Trump he is said to have told her 6 times that he wants "an awesome trade deal" with Germany. 6 times she responded that she cant negotiate that.

Part of the breakdown between Germany and USA is, that our leaders find it difficult to adress issues in a childlike way, so Trump understands it.

Former chancellors like Kohl propably would have been able to do so. He could down his speeches on audience level.

In a Iran USA conflict we could test our weapon systems without being held accountable. Germany is 3rd largest weapon producer in the world, even before China, UK and Israel. With real combat data we would get a sales boost.

And Iran has all cards at its hands. USA can not afford a massive war against a nation of 80 million. Even more so in the election year.

Infact after this escalation, Iran not even has a choice but to strike back.

If you are trying to convince anyone that Germany will be an Iranian ally in the coming war with Iran, you're doing a good job.
