I'm not a psychologist, so I don't know what's proper scientifically. But I would say a man attracted to young girls is a herterosexual pedophile (sp?) and a man attracted to young boys is a homosexual pedophile.

 

What is a man that is exclusively heterosexual (and identifies as such) in his adult relationships but molests boys?
Because that is the majority of the perpetrators in these types of crimes.

They are doing something, just not enough. I am Catholic and the church is tearing out my faith by their inaction and the actions that they took to hide this issue. I will be dead before the church builds back it's love with the community.

I would ask, what would be the point of the distinction. Is either one any less illegal. In either case is the victim not a child. As other posters have pointed out there are a fair number of, if not most, perpetrators that victimize males while maintaining heterosexual relationships.
So I ask, what is the value in the distinction?

I relate it to rape, as a concept. Particularly in the context of vernacular and slang. Not sure if many on here play online games, but the phrase “Get raped!” is... common. Why though?
