    WHERE IS YOUR LINK!!!!

All you have given me is an unsourced picture, which when reverse googled shows as having come from “The daily Fail”.
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7860635/Australian-bushfire-crisis-183-people-arrested-24-charged-starting-fires.htm
Note the caption under the picture ALSO says “charged” not arrested
Now the difference between a charge and an arrest is that a charge can include fines I.e. speeding, littering, being in possession of fireworks, building a camfire, dropping a cigarette in front of a pissed off cop.........

    Difference

Ergo support of rational population control including free contraception and abortion seems a good idea no?

Seems just as likely that it's the other way around. Certain publications (and lots of social media) trying VERY hard to avoid discussing the arson angle, for fear of focus being removed from climate change. Comes across as a very determined avoidance of a very important issue.

Learn the difference between the terms “charged” and arrested” as it pertains to the Australian legal system

There has been a concerted effort on social media, which I have linked to multiple times on this thread, which has attempted to dismiss the concerns in relation to global warming

Seems the only people trying to dismiss anything, are those who insist on silencing discussion of arson. What could possibly justify the refusal to talk about it? There is no justification, so there must be an agenda.

You don't know about this problem, do you? Some of the permafrost is melting now.

No, there are examples of melting permafrost.
    Why post tedious BS?

Denying the impact of arson is now obviously part of the political agenda for some who believe in man made global warming - anything to save the planet.

"Warmertards?" You probably spend way too much time with your head un the Angry Middle-Age White Male Rightwing Religious Traditionalist Open Mouth Media Echo Chamber.

Be sure to save some of your posts so your grandkids will know the position you took when we had a chance to do something about climate change.

The manipulation of the dialogue (to exclude unsanctioned facts) is freaking Orwellian.

Some of the permafrost melts every summer. And the freezes again in the winter.

Brush fires are worse because of weather events such as droughts, failure to clear/harvest dead trees and brush, and arson. The same thing happened in California a few years ago. Now our dams are overflowing. Our morons in Sacramento did nothing to build more dams because they bought into the false permanent drought meme pushed by the global warming alarmists.

"Permafrost is any ground that remains completely frozen—32°F (0°C) or colder—for at least two years straight. These permanently frozen grounds are most common in regions with high mountains and in Earth's higher latitudes—near the North and South Poles. Permafrost covers large regions of the Earth."

So much for what you know about permafrost.

So your photos are the bogus. Permafrost is not found on the surface. Where was this so called melting permafrost located ???

Given so many arsonists turn out to be involved in volunteer fire services, seems the background checks belong there. Pretty tricky though, given they are volunteers. Probably easist to go with an age limit (since most bushfire arsonists are young). I would put the cut off at 21, or perhaps even 25. The volunteer services take kids as young as 16, which while providing a great platform for teenagers to learn teamwork and responsibility etc, is also dangerous in several ways.

Here's a great piece on CNN pointing in the general direction of the truth.

    https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/12/world/aboriginal-australia-fire-trnd/index.html

"Where the Aboriginal people are in charge, they're not having big fires," Gammage said. "In the south, where white people are in charge, we are having the problems."

The Brushfires were caused by the "we're all gonna die 'environmentalists'" rejecting controlled burns, just like what is causing the fires in CA.

Discuss away. We can look, too, at disinformation by climate change opponents.

"And on Wednesday, Mr. Murdoch’s News Corp, the largest media company in Australia, was found to be part of another wave of misinformation. An independent study found online bots and trolls exaggerating the role of arson in the fires, at the same time that an article in The Australian making similar assertions became the most popular offering on the newspaper’s website.

It’s all part of what critics see as a relentless effort led by the powerful media outlet to do what it has also done in the United States and Britain — shift blame to the left, protect conservative leaders and divert attention from climate change."

    Especially man-made brush fires.

"This fire season, police have taken legal action – ranging from cautions to charges –against almost 200 people in New South Wales alone. That includes 24 people charged with deliberately lighting bushfires, 53 accused of failing to comply with the fire ban and 47 accused of discarding a lit cigarette or match."

USA TODAY, Teen firefighter is among dozens accused of igniting fires that have ravaged Australia, By John Bacon, 1/7/20.

There is plenty of talk of that, yes. Though it's useful to remember that the north has a far different 'forest' situation than the south. Much more sparse, less mountainous, and relatively accessible. Southern forests, especially in the east, are mountainous, insanely inaccessible, and dense. Consider the Wollemi Pine .. a 200 million year old tree which was only discovered in the 1990's (accidentally, when a 'remote' specialist ranger abseiled into a valley no human had likely ever entered). And that's only about 90 miles from a city of millions.
