I suggest then going to Barnes and Noble and getting any of the
Alfred Hitchcock Presents TV series. They should carry at least one or
two TV seasons.Money well spent.I also suggest any of the Twilight Zone
    TV seasons.Forget stuff like - Outer Limits -. B & N has none available.

    - One Step Beyond - { I have a few episodes } have terrible production value.
Very poor picture quality.Alfred Hitchcock Presents are shot with great
care and cinematography.Which is a hallmark of Director Hitchcock.
Some Twilight Zone episodes are done in 50's Kinescope.Meaning they
are hard to watch and blurry.A Distorted picture.

I did finally dig myself out. It took four hours of off and on work. I was worried that, if I let it go, it would turn to ice. Then, I'd be stuck there for a week.

What year F-150 is that. Before they had the XLT model ? Is it
    a bench seat model.

It's a 1993 XLT. At that time, it was a high-end model. It's probably comparable to today's standard-equipped models. That is, except for real work trucks.

It has a 7.3 liter, turbocharged diesel engine, a five-speed manual transmission, and real four-wheel drive.

I keep thinking that I should get a Subaru Crosstrek. But then, I don't want 90% of that electronic garbage. Especially the touch screen.

The pickup costs me, maybe, $1000-$1500 per year to keep it running. That would take about 20 years to break even.

Diesel engines are best for work trucks.Except for starting in winter.
By real 4-wheel you mean a floor shifter and not the on the fly dash
    plastic turn selector.I had my Dad's F-150 { early 1990's } and it was a gas
dog.It was slow and had a bench seat.
I have a 2015 { first year for the aluminum body } F-150 XLT and
Love it.It has a huge back seat area. It's the 4X4 Off Road
It listed for a little over $ 50,ooo but I got it for $ 40,ooo plus tax.
Ford like many Pickup truck dealers really hike the price
from Base price { like $ 28,500 } with strange optional equipment
to make them near unaffordable.I don't need nor want a leather seat.
Ford's cloth seats are plenty good and tough. Also have lumbar that
    make them good for the back.I have the EcoBoost engine { twin turbo }
that is about the Fastest pickup truck available.0-60 mph in
6 seconds.I keep thinking about trading in for a Raptor since my Dealer
has a 2019 discounted. Can't seem to sell it.But the Raptor has basically what
my truck has plus a heavy duty skid plate and Fox shocks.Better wheels and
a 10 speed. Some other stuff that don't really mean much except for off roading.

I really craved the Ford Focus RS.I was hoping my dealer got one.
But it never happened.Ford did not make enough to have all dealers
get one.Plus they list for around $ 42,ooo.But it's an awesome car.
I would have easily sold my 2005 Mitsubishi Evolution RS in order to get
a Focus RS.Ford discontinued the Model.Never really gave it a chance in
the states.Mitsubishi also Discontinued the Evolution line a few years ago.
    My Car still going strong.It has the virtual bulletproof 4 banger { 4 cyclinder }
4G63 engine with a twin scroll turbo. The problem with the Evolution
car is maintenance. They are costly to maintain and repair.Plus they go
thru tires like crazy. Also Brake rotors. For some reason they rust real easy.

Real four wheel drive means that all wheels are locked to the transmission. It's four wheel "limited slip". If you're on dry pavement, it doesn't want to turn. I think that the modern all wheel drive cars use computerized application of the brakes to mimic a similar result.

I bought my F250 used. The original owner was a local business owner with money to burn. He went public and my pickup truck was like nothing to him. He set it up really nice with a little bit of lift, some adjustable aftermarket shocks, and some cool ten hole Weld Racing wheels. I had to dump the wheels because people stopped making 16.5 x 33.5 tires. It cost me $10,000 in 2002.

I thought that I would like the Focus RS, until I read the reviews. The reviewers said that it's a fantastic track car, but a horrible street car. They said that it just plain beats you to death.

It also turns like mad. Then again so does my Evo.The Focus RS has
an expensive exhaust that sounds unique once the car revs.
But it sticks to the road as good or better than a top flight Porsche.
Which aren't all wheel drive. There's nothing like a quality sports car with
all-wheel drive.Once a person drives one who had never driven anything but
rear wheel or front wheel cars,it's a whole other world.
There's a YouTube *site dedicated to Pickup trucks and off roading.
My Neighbor has an old Jeep he modified and uses for Off roading.
He takes his dog along.Has cell phone pics of some pretty hairy rock
    and mud travels.

They just put up a video of a 7.3 L Old vs. 7.3 L New Ford pickup
    comparison ... titled - What's Your Favorite Ford 7.3 L Truck.
We Compare One of the Oldest 7.3 L Ford Truck to ...

Those guys are so partial. One guy Loves Jeep and Toyoto Tundra
and one guy is dedicated to Raptor.

It has been warm here. T-shirt weather. But it will turn cold soon. Below freezing at night.

The snow is melting fast, but I'm worried about what I'll find. It looks like my new shrubbery got smooshed.

Around here, fondly referred to as a "beast'. Not a whole lot slows them down, you aren't going to worry about a shopping cart ding, and show up promptly to pull the other people out of a ditch when there is rain, snow and/or ice. :)

Pickups trucks aren't what they used to be.

How does it do in the snow? I have a Silverado duramax and it’s not the best. Too heavy in the front too light in the back. If I have some weight in the bed it does ok but empty not so much. Even a 75 gallon transfer tank full of diesel doesn’t help a whole lot but it’s up against the cab. My wifes suburban does much better in the snow. Better weight balance.

B1BBE41D-5B0B-4DE6-8D92-9EE21474C1DD.jpeg Spent the last two days out in the wet and cold. Got concerned today as I just couldn’t warm up. So when I got home I made a pot of pozole’ and mashed potato tacos. Now if someone would sling me a shot of don julio or three, I might pull off not getting sick.

The tires make all the difference. My new tires aren't as good as the old ones. That 7.3 liter diesel is a boat anchor. It plants the front wheels on the ground!
