In '91, men were viewed as Humans Equal to Women. Now we are viewed as Potential Rapists and Oppressors.

 

My in laws were born in 1929 and 1931. They were in their 40s when my wife was born. My wife was raised old school.

 

Before the EAP presented men as Oppressors and Potential Rapists, happy marriages and relationships were possible.

What the hell are you talking about? The only "married woman" I've had sex with is the one I'm married to. I said I had sex with women more attractive than I am and that I married one of them. That's a good thing.

 

I think a big part of it is that we have been so focused on advancing women we have forgot about boys. It's not very easy to become independent anymore. everything is given to children there for working for something is more hassle than it's worth, and I think this actually leads to depression when we've seen a stark increase of that in the past couple of years.

When everything is easy nothing is worth doing.

 

I think this was a bit Overkill but I have recently gone to college, and I actually had to take one of these Sexual assault awareness bulshit courses. If I was a young man in college after seeing that propaganda being force fed to students. I wouldn't do it.

Not only did the guys have to watch this drek the ladies do as well.

A few words and you're life is over turned. Sure not all women will do this, but all women can. So is it worth it? A guy can look at porn and beat off and it will satiate what used to drive him to find a wife.

Men are not afraid of sex....in fact most of us seek it. There does seem to be a recent collision of scardy little boys and little girls that live by blog and dwell in a Cinderella complex.....bad combination.

Of course there is reason to at least consider that as an option. Concluding that a drug prescribed to a patient with behavioral issues, causes behavioral issues, because of the subsequent existence of behavioral issues, is like concluding that chemotherapy causes death from cancer.

I would wholly agree that we as a society over prescribe ADHD meds, BUT, for the appropriate patient, they are an absolute godsend. The reality is that a child that actually has ADHD exists in a high risk group of individuals that have significantly higher rates of adult Bipolar, anxiety, and depression than does a group of children without ADHD. That is not to say that a child with ADHD will have any or all of those risks when they are an adult, but their odds are far greater than a population that does not have childhood ADHD. With that being the case, yes, you will see plenty of adults that grew up on ADHD meds that will end up with significant challenges in adult life. That doesn't mean it was the meds that caused that condition. It means that ADHD was merely an early precursor to a more serious condition that is going to develop later in life for that person. The fact that your friend had some kids on ADHD meds that ended up as adults with social challenges, proves absolutely nothing. To conclude that their challenges are due to being on ADHD meds is a stretch in logic, to say the least.

 

I came of age during the sexual revolution. For all of my teens and most of my twenties I never had a steady girlfriend because sex was like an all you can eat buffet. Promiscuity was pretty common and most precautions were ignored because there were few STDs and what did exist could be cured with a shot of penicillin. Pregnancy was always a concern but raging hormones always trumped responsibility. The dynamics of sex changed considerably with the rise of STDs and in particular AIDS, also feminism played a part. Early on the militant feminist movement created a significant barrier to casual hook ups. Sex was becoming more monogamous but boring and young people, in particular young men were still hedonistic but hobbled by the aforementioned changes. Many turned to porn as an alternative to monogamy but that only exacerbated their insecurities and isolation. The demands put upon young people these days particularly in professional occupations is also a detriment to a healthy sex life. Sixty to eighty hour work weeks are a killer to libido, people are just too tired for sex. Having enjoyed the freedoms of my youth I find it sad that sex has become so complicated. Of course given the circumstances one does need to be careful but should cultivate mutually satisfying sexual relations with their partner or partners. Sex is a gift but has a shelf life.
