When Nixon ran in sixty eight he saw how well Wallace had done in those States with Conservative Democrats and he began what has become the Southern strategy for the GOP. Reagan amplified the appeal and today we have a GOP dominated by those same Conservatives forces. I can give you a reading list if you like, but most high school textbooks cover the same

Show us how both the NRA and gun manufactures don't benefit whenever guns become a political issue. How for the NRA, it's not about members and money, and for the gun manufacturers, it's not about sales and protection from legal liability.
