    With every scandal Trump creates, Republicans are happy to have been able to keep Trump just a smidgen on the "not in jail" side of "guilty as hell"!

    Its an honor, of a sort, but GOP has totally trashed the "Party of Principles" motto.

    In fact, that motto has not even tried to be uttered by Republicans since Trump won his nomination.

    I guess that is honesty, of a sort! The profit was too high a price to pay for power, Republicans, it is too bad.... Republicans could claim honesty as a virtue, once upon a time, but no longer...

    Next Pam Bondi should do a Ted Talk on Guiliani's kid and his 100k a year job doing "sports outreach" for the WH, or how about Jared and Ivanka and their actual qualifications to fly all over the world acting a our State Department!!

    Do you think Trump realizes that the more he proves that BIden's kid was corrupt the more he proves he didn't care about corruption general but Biden in particular.

    So if Hunter did nothing wrong, why is the left protecting him and Joe at all costs?

    Just let him testify and see how it goes.
    If the Biden’s did nothing wrong, I am sure they would love to clear their name.

    Hunter explaining what he did at Burisma for 50k a month while not having a history in energy and not speaking the language would help.

    He could also answer if Burisma asked him for any favors from his dad, the Vice President.

    That would be a good start....

    It is blatantly obvious why they put him on the Board. There was an existing connection there already (some business associate of his) but no doubt he was given the job because his name is Biden, and as such he could open doors. Business as usual, even in the USA.

    I think they hired Hunter for his name. Period. And he took advantage of it. But lots of companies do that. Doesn't mean there was corruption - but that can be investigated by the DOJ in a separate investigation - it would have no impact on Trump withholding evidence or using a foreign power to investigate a political rival.

    Yes, although I never suggested he do nothing. He is absolutely encouraged to take that information to a domestic investigative agency and ask them to handle the investigation. But he should try to stay as hands off as possible because there is a blatantly obvious conflict of interests behind the president directing investigations against domestic political opponents.

    While true, he is also subject to impeachment if he should "approve of a protocol" that effectively abuses the power of his office - as trump did here when he sought campaign assistance from a foreign government in the form of an announced investigation against his domestic political rival while simultaneously and unilaterally withholding hundreds of millions in military aid and a requested meeting.

    You want to investigate Hunter? Go for it.

    But I see zero reason why he ought to be investigated during the Impeachment Trial of Donald Trump outside of trying to punish someone not named Donald Trump or to at least make the event into a circus where we try everyone.

    What did the President do that was "wrong"? Hold up financial aid to compel a foreign government to take action. This is something that every President has done and the Biden's are up to some shady business in Ukraine. Was Trump at least partially motivated by sheer politics? Almost certainly. Again, something that every President has done in one form or another.

    What is going to be actual entertainment gold is when despite this massive waste of time, President Trump is reelected. Barring some kind of disaster, there is no candidate from the Democratic party who has a chance in hell of beating him.

    IF trump had gone to the congress and explained what he wanted to do and why there would not have been an impeachment. Instead he got HIS PERSONAL LAWYER to investigate, not the state department, not the CIA but his personal lawyer
