the poll was manipulated by Trump supporters, no one believes those results we have heard from Trump's old lawyers that Trump has paid groups to manipulate polls in the past
So religious discrimination is ok as long as it's publicly funded. You've totally failed to show any kind of actual discrimination against gay people. What you have a problem with is religious people not being forced to serve you.
They can't. Your argument about "JUST LOOK AT TEH TENNESSEEES" was complete spin. All it says is that if an individual person has a religious conviction, they can't be forced to engage in that behavior....in much the same way a person with a moral conviction against abortion should not be forced to participate in one. The law still requires the person to have assistance made available to them by another counselor.
The 'Mormons' I have been privileged to know are truly some of the finest, most ethical, clear-thinking, honorable, decent, hard-working people I have ever known, all my life! That said, their religion is, IMHO, almost as unhinged, unlikely, strange, and bizarre as Islam is! I wouldn't even mention it now, except Mitt Romney has put his very devout Mormon faith at the center of his reasoning that: A. Joe Biden did NOTHING wrong. B. Donald Trump, although never charged with a crime in either Article of Impeachment, needed to be removed from the presidency. Lastly, I do not personally know one (ONE) Mormon person who would support Romney in his decision, based on the Mormon RELIGION!
Yes, either through direct grants and vouchers (ie education / medical) or through incentives given to their customers or users (ie adoption agencies).
The American people loved it. It highlighted past successes and charted our future. Socialists weren't happy, but who cares?
I don’t believe religious people discriminating against others is ever ok — but if that is how they want to live their lives that is their choice, as long as they are not taking my taxpayer funds. I have shown numerous, you just wrote them all off as acceptable discrimination. False. I take issue with laws specifically targeting specific groups of people and I take issue with my taxes being sent to places that simply turn around and discriminate against me. Which is why I cannot vote for Republicans in their current form. Hopefully that will change in the future as numerous other actual conservative values are important to me.
It isn’t spin, Tennessee allows adoption agencies to deny services to gay people (which you denied) and they allow therapists the ability to deny care to gay people. I have proven both of these facts. Which is still them saying “I don’t serve your kind”. Something that someone in distress shouldn’t have to consider. I hope you or your family members are ever at a point in their life where they feel they need help but are concerned that someone will look at them and say this. I am sure if it had the potential to effect you or your children, you would feel differently.
No, you'd just like them to service gay people against their moral convictions. No, I didn't write anything off. I took every example you gave seriously, and looked at each in detail. In every case where you claimed "discrimination", what you actually have is religious freedom. In zero of your examples were gay people prevented from doing anything. Worst case scenario, they might have to go to a different counselor, or choose a non-religious adoption agency. You replied with ridiculous scenarios that forced gay people to drive 500 miles (so much oppression) to a different agency....with zero context, mind you. You even dropped in a small font comment of "inb4 told to move" as if that would be the response you'd get from me. Which, of course, is complete bull****. There ARE NO LAWS that discriminate against gay people BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL TO DO SO. You cannot claim "gay people can't adopt" when YOU KNOW gay adoption is LEGAL IN ALL 50 STATES. PERIOD T. You should leave the Oppression Olympics behind. I realize that's how you get street cred as a Democrat, but in the end it will just ruin your life.
Yes, surrogacy. Also bisexual people exist... You said they were a gay organization that discriminated against heterosexuals. That is absurd.
No. Tennessee allows individual people to maintain their religious freedom while still making it a legal requirement to ensure gay people receive services. You still either don't understand it, or just don't want to.
Again, I have no issues with moral convictions until it either a) directly harms another or b) utilizes taxpayer funds to exist. When did religious freedom become just about discrimination? It is sad That was not directed only to you, I placed that there because I have been hit with those exact statements dozens of times. If I would have said “in before you say” I would understand your ire — but that was not the case. It was just to head it off. That is false, numerous laws directly allow discrimination against gay people. Gay people are automatically excluded in many states in the nation due to all of the adoption agencies being “religious” — legally. Religion should not come before the life or wellbeing of a child.
Planned Parenthood isn't about getting pregnant. It's about ending being pregnant. Sorry if you don't like the answer.
I never said it was... That isn’t really and answer, it is a factual statement. Nothing to like or dislike there.
Then you should be happy because it doesn't harm anyone, as you still have, by law, choices available to you despite some people also having religious freedom. Religious freedom is about freedom as much as your freedom to be gay is. Where the two conflict, the law ensures BOTH of your rights are protected. Perhaps you should learn to listen to what is being said, instead of what you think is being said.
