Is the Country Ready for a Gay President? Don’t Trust the Polls

9 days, huh? Kinda reminds one of Iowa 2012. Eight years later and we still don't know who won the Republican caucuses.

But no... I don't mean math. Democrats suck almost as bad as Republicans in that area. I mean common sense, human morals and respect for fellow human beings. Education and general culture in most Democrats is enough to give them a pretty solid basis to make educated decisions. While Republicans.... uhm.... Unfortunately what should follow would get me in trouble, so I leave it up to your imagination.

 

You mean Republicans.... and I should be more precise and say Trump loyalists... are not ready. They would get a heart attack. Not as bad as the one they got when they saw the first black guy in the White House, but nevertheless shocking.


Democrats have no problem. And the good news: Democrats don't need the extreme right religious zealot vote to elect our first gay President.

 

I think people will make a big deal about his orientation and first, but when it comes down to election day, people will vote based on things that matter in the real world.

 

That is why they say he is similar to Obama whose father was a Marxist. They are subtle Marxist unlike Bernie Sanders. The DNC prefers they stay subtle so they can get elected.....fat chance!

That's just it. In America we are pretty accepting of gays but in the Muslim world where we have so much current delicate negotiations and business of state they kill imprison or stone gays. A gay president would be at a disadvantage in world affairs.

I believe some Black Democrats would vote for a gay person. Mayor Pete has other issues besides his gayness that may affect his popularity with Black people.

Some would but many blacks would stay home rather than vote for a gay president. Any democrat needs the black voting block in mass to win.

I don't recall conservatives rioting in the streets over Barack becoming president, but I do recall Obama as soon as he possibly good go wide full open racist on this nation and cause the world's first ever Beer Summit to occur. I don't recall any protests outside of the Dem Party's KKK organization -- all fifty or so members -- grumbling a bit. But I do recall Obama race agitating for eight years.

As for the first openly Gay president, that will happen when it happens. The problem with the political Left is that they do not vote according to merit but rather according to ones gender or skin tone or sexual preferences and THAT's what ticks off the Right. Obama was not qualified to become president back in 2008 . . . a fact which Barack then repeatedly proved for year after year. He was elected because the political Left was infatuated with his melodious voice and his chic skin tone, period.

Ditto with the even less qualified to be president Buttigieg; it's his gayness that turns on the political Left, because aside from his sexual orientation he has no real qualifications to become the president of the most important nation in the history of humanity.

 

The answer to that is a resounding . . . no. Beto actually has more qualifications, and he's not ready for prime time either -- politically speaking.

Obama was 100 times more qualified to be President than Trump. Remember that.

 

If Butt is the democrats nominee voting for the first gay to show "how far we've come" will likely be the battle cry of the left. "Screw qualifications we need to elect a gay, that's all that matters" .

 

And his qualifications were?

 

1) Intelligence
2) Ability to negotiate with other world leaders.
3)Compassion for his fellow Americans.
4) Ability to speak in full sentences.
5) Understanding of how govt works ie : the separation of powers.
6) Tried to bring the races together, rather than tear them apart.
