Actually Bernie is highly electable to the point where he will be picking up votes from your side of the aisle. In 2016 he was receiving 12% of his support from self identified Republicans. His message RESONATES throughout the nation as far as those who are being screwed over by GOP fiscal malfeasance policies are concerned.

Sadly, no party is serious about stopping illegal immigration. Without an effective e-verify program, the half of illegals who come in the front door with a visa they overstay, we're going to have a difficult time fixing the problem. Trump is getting away with doing a half job at best by making a lot of noise about his wall.

If we don't pull together a private sector solution that makes healthcare affordable--a ban on charging more for preexisting conditions, better (not more) regulation of insurers to promote healthy competition, train more doctors, etc.--desperate Americans will vote in Democrats and we'll have something akin to Medicare for all.
