Charles Durning was a True WW II hero.He was so humbled by his
experience { was the 2nd soldier off the barge as he jumped
over the first soldier as the ramp went down falling into the water.
They were not in far enough and the water was deep.Had to just
let his 60 pound pack go.Hit the beach with no rifle,no helmut,
nothing.} Of course like the rest who hit Obama beach he was terrified.
He made it a firm policy to never talk about his Normandy Invasion
experience. As did most All Hollywood actors. They were truly The Greatest
    Generation.
Martha MacCallum just had her new book released - Unknown Valor -
which profiles the plight of an 18 year old Marine { Harry Grey } who
was her Grandfather's nephew and his experience at Iwo Jima
a battle that lasted 36 days and took the lives of over 7,ooo Marines.
As a Kid Martha discovered in her Grandparents attic old photos
and letters from WW II and in particular those of Harry Grey.
That so piqued her interest over the years she decided to investigate
those who might have served alongside Grey. She found a couple old
WW II marines. One was 101 year old Charlie Gubish.
I love books like that.I Like biographies and true crime.
BTW ... One of Durnings best roles was in - Dog Day Afternoon - { 1975 }.

Funny thing about that. USA grown cotton can and will be shipped offshore, to be woven, decorated, dyed and constructed into garments or household goods, shipped back to the USA, and may still carry the Made in the USA label. I can't wrap my head around that.

But cotton is also getting expensive.Used to be that ALL T-shirts
were made of cotton. Now it's more likely to be a T-shirt of
    50% Cotton/50% Polyester.
Good luck trying to locate a 100% combed cotton pullover.
What used to be called Velour.Today's velour is not at all
like the Velour of the 60's.It's thin, has a cheap slick feel and
is not warm.I still have a Velour shirt from like 35 years ago.
It's tight. But when it gets really cold it's about the warmest piece
    of shirt I Own.

    Remember the Alamo.

    FB_IMG_1583508217749.jpg

The Battle of the Alamo was fought between the Republic of Texas and Mexico from February 23, 1836 to March 6, 1836. It took place at a fort in San Antonio, Texas called the Alamo. The Mexicans won the battle, killing all of the Texan soldiers inside the fort.

There ya go. I made it all the way through that one and will listen to it again.

I'm going to search that song and see if it leads me to others. Thanks!

I can't stand the other songs that I found. I don't know. They're too Katy Perry or Miley Cyrus or somebody.

Try Duluth Trading they sell great t-shirts that are 100% cotton, they don't shrink and get out of shape when washed.

I don't think there is such a beast as Non-wrinkle cotton.
But I learn something new every day.I bought a shirt from
Brooks Bros. that I wear in fall around Thanksgiving.I think it cost
$ 190. It has a unique patchwork design { in squares } like a Quilt.
The material is 80% cotton and 20% wool.I just went to the closet
and checked. It states on the collar label The Original Polo Shirt.
I have it dry cleaned.II like shirts from Tasso Elba sold at Macy's.
But they don't last. They tend to shred. But they fit me perfectly and are
comfy and not expensive.I find that Polo shirts { Ralph Lauren } which Are
expensive last 3 times longer. They are very hard to wear out and tatter.

    Y'Know just the other day I was thinking { As I make a habit of }
that since this new Virus is very contagious and it can survive on
cardboard and plastic for as long as 9 days what about Money.
Sure enough the next day there was hubbub over cash. That it certainly
could transmit problems. That the city of New York did a survey some time ago
concerning what kind of hazard ordinary cash has. They collected cash throughout
the city and found as many as 300 different types { varieties of germs on that loot }.
50 dollar bills used to be The dollar amount for snorting cocaine.
In fact,it was one way to bust users.Remnants of cocaine dust left on bills.
I think they could easily have some kind of infrared cash scan device to
eliminate germs from cash. But this current Virus is not nearly as serious a
problem as ordinary Flu { expecially Influenza } which kills between 29-79,ooo
    each year in the U.S.
