    The article does mention beds, but also this:

    What good is a bed without the necessary equipment to treat the patients?

    Is there any empirical data that proves shutting down is even effective? Obviously restricted travel makes sense to keep new cases out...

    Not at all true, the Pandemic Unit of the NSC was moved from a separate office of the NSC into the core part of the NSC and that move was not done by Trump.

    Maybe get your facts correct before posting anymore lies.

    I guess we will know soon enough. Britain is going with herd immunity. We will have to watch the numbers.

    I would take any data coming out of China with a grain of salt...

    Incorrect. You are wrong. There is plenty of reason to alter your normal routine. This is NOT the same as any winter flu. All it takes is a cursory look around the world to see it.
    Lucky for you the sheeple had a run on toilet paper and not aluminum foil.

    We should be mass testing. We should have had test kits weeks before we did. We should have tighter restrictions on travel. I hope I'm wrong but I think we're weeks late in really containing this thing.

    I'm looking at the Italian picture that there isn't enough space in the hospitals to treat people who are about to die. If that's the "bigger" picture how it can be in the US, than you must prevent. That's not a panic or irrational fear, but a very very plausible outcome.

    How would we have had kits prepared for something unknown? The Originals from the CDC had an issue with fake positives..

    The ER can not cope with the amount of patient, and so patients die because they fail get treated in time... and here you go like.. so what? Doesn't seem you're feeling alright.

    It's ranked 2nd best in the world, after France. You have no clue.

    Hence... It's really really bad.

    The amount of people in need of getting care surpasses the ability of hospitals giving care... shows that the it aint hysteria,.. it's realistic.
