    No, it's not.

    Unless you consider all Western countries - except the US - as socialist countries.

    I wouldn't be surprised.

    That being said, with a pandemic like this, you'll soon see the limits of a private health care system.

    Personal bankruptcies will explode and I predict that the percentage of dead vs. sick will be higher in the US than in Canada, for example.

    Because you can't just throw in "what you want" and tell the other side to do the same and call it bipartisan. Real life doesn't work like that. This bill is for businesses and employees who are being effected by the coronavirus. Not some free-for-all money drop for the unemployed who are already getting assistance.

    History of the con party has shown they are not above such measures, no reason to believe now is any different.

    Can you show where the Democrats agreed to a 500BN slush fund and hiding recipients for six months?

    If Democrats are holding up the bill for false reasons that will come back to bite them — furthermore it is disgusting that getting aid out is considered a “win” for trump when taxpayers are the ones footing the bill and congress is the one working out the details.

    I'm hearing now that Nancy wants to include vital crisis-relief measures in her bill, such as- solar tax credits, and stricter emissions standards for the airline industry.

    Because I'm sure that's what your average American is freaking out about right now- putting up discount solar panels, and slapping stricter regulations on the domestic airline industry that's now facing bankruptcy and ruination.

    As always, Nancy has her finger on the pulse of the pawns.

    Her comments came just after Pelosi left a meeting with the lead negotiators scrambling to piece together Congress's third relief package in response to the coronavirus pandemic, which has tanked markets, led to mass layoffs and encroached on virtually every facet of American life.

    The meeting in McConnell's office also featured Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.), House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and White House Legislative Affairs Director Eric Ueland. It marked the first time that Pelosi had met face-to-face with McConnell and the other Republicans, who negotiated with Schumer and Senate Democrats while the House was in recess last week
