Different diseases. Different characteristics. Different dangers than COVID-19.

Same methods of infection. And much more dangerous actually..so not really an excuse. And I never really looked into if any regulations have been reduced lately either.

The recession started in late late 07.
We were in full fledged free fall in 08 ending the fall in early 09. With what was considered extremely drastic measures at that time.
    Bailout and all.
Which are small compared to today's socialist bailout we're going to get.

Some of tRUMPs ways of dealing with the pandemic early on.

Since so many think he's done a great job.

Trump thought there was only 15 infected and it was gonna go down from there, he ignored the media and in fact his own experts, attacked anyone that dared disagree with him - course we now know Trump was wrong

wen it started to get serious, he thought he woudl pawn it off on Pence

then when Pence started to look more Presidential as he was doing a better job than Trump, Trump no longer wanted Pence to be the figurehead

I'm running into so many on this forum who have their heads buried so far down in the sand, they still believe this is the flu and not many people will die from it. It's maddening. 30K deaths in a month, but this is less dangerous than the flu.

These dolts are the reason we won't slow the spread as much as we could if people understood SCIENCE. (Or at a minimum, trusted all the world's leading infectious disease experts.)

Ebola requires physical contact to be transmitted. Far more difficult than COVID-19.

IIRC Trump never called the COVID-19 virus a "hoax". He called the Democratic criticism of his handling of the virus a hoax.

    Completely different.

And of course the Ds criticism was spot on.
We didn't go from 15 cases to 0, as he said we would.

His inactions were the wrong response. As we can plainly see. We are now the largest diseased carrier in the world. The new tRUMP virus.

turns out the criticism was spot on, Trump was wrong

Trump putting up the mission accomplished flag when only 15 cases was totally wrong

yep, Trump bragged that we had the least cases in the world, so that meant he was handing it great in his mind

course now that we have the most cases.... he takes no responsibility

Trump's approval rating for handling COVID is very high. Much higher than the lying Fake News Media's.

Trump's restriction on travel to and from China got imposed at the end of January. At the time, Joe Biden accused Trump of “hysteria and xenophobia — hysterical xenophobia” for cutting off that potential transmission source. When Trump imposed a similar restriction on the EU’s Schengen Zone countries this month, the media and the EU accused Trump of overreacting. In both cases, however, the countries impacted erected their own travel barriers shortly afterward, including new border enforcement in the previously free-movement Schengen zone. That immediately confirmed that Trump was far more a visionary than a hysteric, and nearly every American agrees just a few weeks later.

These early and decisive moves to contain the coronavirus spread paid off, big time. The US had it's first case on Jan 20th and currently has a death rate of 7/M. Italy had their first case on Jan 29 and currently has a death rate of 166/M. Spain, Jan 30 with a death of 128/M. The difference was Trump early bold action that the anti-Trumpers mocked, ridiculed and claimed was based in racism and ignorance. Well, who looks ignorant now?

Trump's quick bold action is easily the most popular and least partisan policy of the Great Hunkering Down of 2020, and it’s the only one that belongs entirely to Trump. The White House has issued guidelines on the other policies, but those have been imposed by governors, not the federal government. Trump benefits from the popularity of these policies to the extent he offers support for them, but he’s likely to get a continuing and lasting boost from the travel bans that his opponents first ridiculed — and they will have to explain their own hysterical reaction to them at some point, especially Biden.

One Nation under God indivisible with Liberty and Justice for ALL, a concept which our president clearly fails to grasp. The divisor in chief seems intent upon pitting states against each other for our inadequate medical supplies.

No support of congressional Democrats has a leg to stand on regarding justice.
No supporter of abortion has anything to say about being under God.

No one trying to vilify Trump has anything of value to say about being indivisible.

So this is me calling your bluff.

What do you have or who to compare him to in regards to this pandemic? I been around since JFK and I don't recall this kind of scenario? But I'm sure the left will invent something like ingrown toenail or butt blister to compare the devastation this virus has caused WORLD WIDE :) I can hardly wait to read it LMFAO!!
