Two salient reasons Trump supporters are not considering:

    1. There is massive Trump fatigue across America, millions are absolutely sick of him.

    2. By a wide margin, Americans feel we are on the wrong track, the direction of America, noting that with a margin this wide, it will have to include a large swath of independents and even some republicans.

People are tired of the shutdown. Dems want a longer shutdown.

Lots of older Republicans want a longer shut-down as well. They'll be the ones thrown under the bus.

We older republicans can think for ourselves. Open the country up. Let the economy survive. That does not mean that we older republicans have to expose ourselves to the virus. We can keep going as we are now.

    Polls.

    They never learn.

The reason the lefties keep looking at the polls, is because it's the only thing showing them what they want to believe.

It will not be fun and games for a long time. However, it would be worse not to open up the country.

We already did that when the National Debt hit $22 trillion under Trump BEFORE the Covid scare ...

But remember that they LIVE for historical revisionism, and so despite their party having been the ones to demand a nationwide shut down and which still wants the economy to be as dead as possible for as long as possible they definitely are going to blame Trump and the GOP for all of their inevitably resulting . . . terrible . . . consequences.

Yes, and how many times when a poll was in Trump's favor did he oogle all over them?

Yeah, polls are great when they like you, and when they don't, of course they are not valid.

    Got it.

Yeah, if Trump wins you're going to do a Truman/Dewey number one me.

that's the chance I'm willing to take. I really think Trump is going to lose, and the circumstances are much different than with Hillary.

How do you, or anyone else, know if I, or anyone else, has a shiny penny in their pocket, or not? Irregardless of if they are loved or not.

I complained about the national debt for eight years under Obama. It was never a problem for the democrats until Trump took office. Obama added about ten trillion to the national debt.

Which of those surveys would you like us to look at. I haven’t looked at ANY of them yet. You pick three and I’ll look at their methodology and tell you what the percentage of those democrats, republicans and independents they polled.

I GUARANTEE you at LEAST two of the three will have oversampled Democrats and undersampled Republicans.

And that’s why there’s going to be another massive helping of butthurt on the democrats side when Biden gets stomped out in November.

I see the basic argument- people are tired of Trump and want someone better. But I worry that you conflate the national direction with Trump support. How do you make it so the national direction is just Trump without taking into account the various political factors that exist (Congress, media, etc)?

Better get those fake ballots printing by the millions! Only chance you got. Keep making "poll posts" though, hilarious.

    Fake ballot press go BRRRRRRRRRRR!

Don't be discouraged, but The New York Times has already inoculated itself early by already calling the 2020 election for Trump. :)

"“Trump succeeded,” lamented one moderate former Democratic lawmaker who asked to speak on background. “He got my party to lose its marbles.” The lawmaker cited calls by party activists to abolish the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency — calls the Warren campaign did not formally endorse but did little to refute — as emblematic of the party’s broader problems.

“What do Democrats stand for?” he asked. “Lawlessness or liberality? Policymaking or virtue signaling? Gender-neutral pronouns and bathrooms or good jobs and higher wages?”

As is his way, Mr. Trump wasted little time rubbing salt into Democratic wounds. “Democrats used to stand with the Working Man,” he tweeted Wednesday morning. “Now it’s the party of Abortion and Amnesty. All that’s missing is Acid. Sad!”
THE NEW YORK TIMES, How Trump Won Re-election in 2020, A sneak peek at the Times’s news analysis from Nov. 4, 2020., By Bret Stephens, July 26, 2018.

Oh, well, Dewey and Hillary shoulda won. ;-)
