    Not all there are multiple different methods from autoclave to ethylene oxide, glutaraldehyde and vaporised H2O2 to name a few

    Well, wearing a mask IS a morally superior decision. That doesn't make acting morally superior is OK.

    In general, people have no idea what is lurking in their spittle. And, spraying it toward others is not acceptable - that's why we have a directive on wearing masks right now.

    This isn't that hard a question.

    We KNOW that contact between people who don't believe they have COVID is a significant method of spreading COVID.

    You wonder what's behind it, really.

    I suspect it's just defeat. With way too much public non-compliance and denial, plus a Govt incapable of acting like leaders .... it seems possible that what we're seeing is the happy face applied to surrender. American exceptionalism compelling the fake smile.

    The broad willingness (even preference) to ignore science is a seriously horrible commentary on education in America.

    We've made science so optional (and lies about it so popular) that people can't recognize science from happy talk and fairy tales - and don't know why it makes any difference.

    I need a vodka and chloroquin.

    Studies I've seen on the effectiveness of various mask materials show bandanas as pretty much at the bottom of the list of effective mask materials.

    I'd suggest continuing the search. A bandana is beter than nothing, but ...

    That is the tool....to use fear, implement the restriction of liberties, then never remove them. Hospitals are by no means strapped. That is a lie. They didn't even use the Hospital ships in New York. Although "elective surgeries " were canceled due to the panic, they had to allow them because hospitals weren't getting enough work. It's all a sham in an election year. The globalists are making their move!

    What the heck more do you want? I know people have been led toward ignoring the dangers to themselves, their families, hospital staff, etc. But, suggesting we have a runaway pandemic is certainly not a solution to that.

    We DO need leadership, obviously. Some states have that with their governors. Some don't seem to realize there is a pandemic in their stte.

    They most certainly did use the hospital ship in NY. Initially, they stated that they would not take COVID patients - they would limit to off loading hospitals of nonCOVID patients so the hospitals could focus on COVID.

    But, hospitals were so overwhelmed that the ship ended up taking COVID patients.

    And, your claim about elective surgery is also total nonsense. Hospitals have run out of space and stopping elective surgery is a way to save beds and make it easier to reduce the problem of having both COVID and nonCOVID patients.

    It is actually, as studies show. Those who wear masks without knowing the full protocol tend to take more risks, not wash their hands, touch their mask thinking it's safe etc.
