Simone Sanders, Biden's black Senior Advisor, said that his comment was made in jest, as I suspected. He had a hint of a smile when he said it and a big smile afterwards. He was joking. Some people are complaining that it wasn't an appropriate joke, so he has apologized. He'll still win the election!

 

The last time the Mississippi KKK called for a state protest at the capital they got 13 people to show up. Same in Georgia.

What have we got to lose to paraphrase Trump. (Talk about condescending! Now, that was a horrible statement.) Biden is well meaning. He's got a long relationship working with black people. He understands the issues that lots of black voters care about and the culture. He will support the right policies. So, he will get the vote.

 

What policies? How has he worked with the black community? He's been of congress for nearly 50 years and the black community still has the same problems. What has he done.

 

Joe should NOT try to be "hip"....hence this latest flap.

Mind you, I personally agree with that attitude (if poorly expressed) that black folk who have aligned themselves with the likes of Reagan, Bush and now Dump have systematically voted against the best interest of the majority of black America....a matter of history, a matter of fact.
