Minneapolis is responsible for every item stolen, every death, everything burned.

But that doesn't mean the looters/rioters don't bear responsibility as well - plenty of blame to go around.

MINNEAPOLIS POLICE KILLED GEORGE FLOYD, THEN FAILED TO PROTECT PROPERTY OWNERS FROM RIOTS.

“Police departments exist, at least on paper, in order to protect people’s rights and people’s property. Over the past couple of days, police in Minneapolis have proven unable to do either.”

Police kill man over 8 minutes on a public street.

Police retreat to their precinct and shoot into crowd with less-than-lethal bullets

Police abandon city to people they angered.

Next up, police demand pay increase.

Abolish qualified immunity and this will go away.

MLK also said that it was irresponsible to condemn rioting without addressing its root causes, and that said rioting is the language of the unheard

People are not protesting, they are demanding justice. The DA is solely responsible for the devastation because he loves cops more than he loves equal justice. He will be lucky if he isn't tarred and feathered.

Getting free stuff (read: stealing) and setting private property on fire is not "demanding justice" it's criminal activity.

Violence was critical to the success of the 1960s civil rights movement, as it has been to every step of racial progress in U.S. history.

Other way around, African Americans resent the way they are stereotyped and feared by the rest of society. Yet the rest of society looks at what is happening in Minneapolis and it justifies their fear.

I don't understand why so few face prosecution after cases like this.
I'll admit they do a difficult job and risk their lives doing it but they can't be above the law.

No one is saying they should but they should be given special understanding. They do not have the benefit of hindsight and constantly have to make tough judgements calls, what can restrain one suspect can kill another, what can be a justified action in one case can turn out to be disastrous in another.

The left goes full pearl clutching.

Then makes excuses for looting, arson, and violence.

Then prove such to be the case. Cite the evidence and the violence that was used.

Agreed. The lack of leadership is showing.

MLK used violence, counted on it, invited it and provoked it. The difference, stagecraft. MLK put ponytailed girls in the front of the protests. The visuals out of those confrontations with police, see Birmingham, changed Americans view on Civil Rights.

Bull Connor’s goons with their German Shepards bitting little girls was the violence King designed.

    Leadership.

Kneeling on someone’s neck is terribly dangerous. Should not happen, ever.

“My husband says“ there needs to be a couple of death sentences. That will straighten out their thinking.
(Admittedly he’s an old conservative to the right of Genghis Khan)

If the elite won't control their thug cops the entire country will burn to the ground. People have lost their fear and they will no longer tolerate BS from thug cops in any city in America. So when an incident happens in one city it is an injury to people in every city. That is why people are demonstrating across the country right now.

To be honest, I believe that the left are actively working at this as an outcome. The left truly believe that racism is the wedge they win with. As more of this obvious misbehavior exhibits itself, their case is made, and hate is developed which they (democrats) believe helps them in the end. It's as immoral as politics ever gets.

Hmm... so, what you're really saying is that police unions are bad for the country? Who do you suppose runs said cop unions? And don't police unions actively contribute to their masters, in the democratic party? Hmmm.... there's a lot of meat there.

The cops won't touch a gang of white guys who invaded a State capital with guns but they will arrest a black CNN reporter doing his job on the streets of Minneapolis. That is white privilege in action.

The reporter was detained, and released.Thats a big difference than actually being arrested. What laws did the white protesters with guns break?
I guess facts are white privilege as well?
