It seems like the woman legislator was in fear for her life so she had a team of armed bodyguards around her to protect her from possible assault by the armed white guys who had earlier expressed the will to harm the legislators.

Why were the white guys with guns in the capital to begin with? Probably, because those in power were using power to affect their livelihood. Why were people in the streets protesting a clear cut case of those in power brutalizing a man, and ultimately killing him.
I’m fine with folks challenging, and disobeying authority, when their cause is right. Both instances are 100% right to do so. But, people who have their businesses looted, destroyed, and burned to the ground aren’t in power, they’re just regular day folks trying to make a living. So Instead of making excuses for that type of behavior, maybe it should be called out, because it gives ammo to those folks who want to distract from the fact that police brutalized another black man.
Even better, instead of rampaging and victimizing the powerless, calmly use your first Amendment right and open carry at protests for cases of police brutality, and see how fast authorities can be put in their place.

Making a claim is not the same thing as providing evidence.

Would an accusation about yourself being a sexual assailant be accepted at face value as evidence of such being the truth? Or would evidence be demanded.

The claim on the part of yourself is that the civil rights movement could not have been achieved without the use of violence and threats of intimidation by those seeking equal rights. Essentially the claim is that the only way to achieve anything is to engage in acts of terrorism, because no other method works.

Now prove the claim. Prove violence was indeed used by those seeking equal rights, and that said violence was the only reason for the passage of the civil rights act. Show the acts of arson, random assaults, and even murder that were committed by the black community to get what they wanted and demanded.

 

If one cannot differentiate between those engaged in rioting, and those engaged in peaceful protest, the fault lays with themselves and only themselves. The two are not in any way similar to one another.

 

Look at all of the jobs that will be created for the rebuilding process. That is grass roots stimulus.

 

Maybe they can try kneeling before games?

When reporters, of any race, get arrested for reporting the news by knuckle-dragging low IQ thug cops, doesn't that put us in the cellar with other repressive countries like China? I know lots of people want to live in an oppressive police state like in the Jim Crow era but sane and rational people want to live in the home of the brave and the land of the free, like the propaganda says America is.
