Google "Clive Steps + London". It's right next to the Churchill War Museum and the bunker where he helped run World War II. Now, THAT was great leadership!

And specifically how would this have been better had there ben a Democrat running things? I can speak for how incompetent Wretched Gretchen Whitmer has been with no plan whatsoever except ruin her own state economy to win Biden's hand as VP. Wait.... I mean become his VP. Not that he'd argue if she gives him ice cream before the rug and the nap. And lets him smell her hairy legs.

So killing homosexuals, gypsies, the retarded, criminals and Jews were NOT acts of unmitigated evil? Church attendance has nothing to do with good and evil. You either know right from wrong or else you vote Democrat.

    Look to Australia

Even though ScoMo is by no means a “Democrat” he has led us through this admirably

Look at Canada, New Zealand,Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, India

Crikey! Even Mexico has not had the death toll America has

To not have the ability to distinguish between good and evil is a sad thing.

I’m not sure if you’re being disingenuous or what.
That’s because we have 350 million people and Canada and New Zealand have 35M and 5M respectively

You don't get it. Let me explain how this works. The reason the general is being "put in charge" of controlling the protests is so Generalissimo Trump has a convenient fall guy at the ready should the protests get worse. Or if the response to protesters is too violent.

It's Trump's M.O. to put someone in the position of being blamed for failure since he refuses to accept responsibility for it.

As to your comment about being heavy handed, it's already happened. Peaceful protesters a few blocks away from the WH, who were not violating the curfew, were dispersed using flash-bang shells, gas and rubber bullets yesterday afternoon.

Inside the push to tear-gas protesters ahead of a Trump photo op
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...0f7b50-a46c-11ea-bb20-ebf0921f3bbd_story.html

President Trump began mulling a visit to St. John’s Episcopal Church on Monday morning, after spending the night devouring cable news coverage of protests across the country, including in front of the White House.

The historic church had been damaged by fire, and Trump was eager to show that the nation’s capital — and especially his own downtown swath of it — was under control.

There was just one problem: the throngs of protesters, who on Monday had again assembled peacefully in Lafayette Square across from the White House to protest the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man who died in police custody in Minneapolis.
    ..............................................................................................................................
Why? Because the most amoral prez in history wanted to get a photo op using the bible as a prop.

So you attack him for trying to take control when he doesn’t know what he’s doing. Then you attack him for delegating to someone who knows what they’re doing. Then you take our president visiting a burned down church to somehow make the argument he DOESNT care about people.

You don’t understand how your position is wholly unreasonable and illogical? Here let’s do this. Give me a list of 5 things trump could have done differently and better in regards to the riots. Specific things, not existential bs like “listen better”.

“General Milley is here who’s head of Joint Chiefs of Staff, a fighter, a warrior, and a lot of victories and no losses. And he hates to see the way it’s being handled in the various states. And I’ve just put him in charge,” Trump told governors, according to audio obtained by NBC.

It was not immediately clear what Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff U.S. Army Gen. Mark Milley would be tasked with as it relates to the domestic unrest across the nation."

It may not be immediately clear to some people, but it is to me. He is being tasked with being the scapegoat.

Any time you'd like to stop putting words in my mouth I'd be glad to hash this over. Just don't ask me to defend or to respond to things I didn't say.

It's clear that leftists don't want to be led to prosperity, they just want to destroy and loot.

You asserted he was being heavy handed so he doesn’t know what he’s doing. You assert he’s just putting in a fall guy instead of wanting to take responsibility himself. So you attack him either way.

Then you said his visit to a church had nothing to do with sympathy or being upset over a historic CHURCH being burnt by arsonists but was simply a photo op with a Bible.

I think my description of what you said is accurate.

But regardless, what 5 things should trump have done differently during these riots?

No, I didn't. I stated the fact that he cleared out peaceful protesters near the WH who were not violating the curfew.

"Shortly before the president addressed the nation from the Rose Garden at 6:43 p.m. Monday and roughly a half-hour before the District’s 7 p.m. curfew went into effect — authorities fired flash-bang shells, gas and rubber bullets into the crowd, clearing a path for Trump to visit the church immediately after his remarks."

Did the police have cause to use that degree of force to disperse those peaceful protesters? No.

I'm asserting he was heavy handed and knew exactly what he was doing.......in this instance. He was "clearing a path for Trump to visit the church immediately after his remarks" so he could create a photo op using the bible as a prop.

    Got it?

So they didn’t tell the protestors to clear the way first? They just ran up and started busting off? Or did they give an order to the protesters to move and they refused? Just because curfew isn’t started doesn’t mean you don’t have to listen to the police.

Since you said "during" the riots I'll have to leave out his past history of discrimination and bigotry that contributed to inequality, prejudice, and anger that helped create the current atmosphere.

He should have struck a conciliatory, not militant tone in an attempt to deescalate the violence. He should have sent Barr to Minneapolis to speak with government and community leaders. He should have addressed the nation. He should stop using his twitter account to make matters worse.

If the protest was peaceful (which it was) and the curfew is not being violated (which it wasn't) what pretense did the police have to force them to leave?

Security of the president of the United States. The same reason highways and roads are cleared when his motorcade comes into a city. Except that time he was on foot with groups of people who had rioted and burned the place down the night before.

For 10 minutes. You never know about radical leftists - who knows what weapons they had in front of the White House. They’ve shown a passion for violence.

Sounds good to me. The feds should not be involved unless necessary. That’s federalism. Keep power as local as possible.

But when the local blue staters screw things up, bring in Trump to clean it up. The Dems botched the protests. Huge areas were looted snd burned. Now the adults are in charge.
