Trump urinated all over both Rand and Cruz in the primaries, and their response is to worship the ground he walks on. In Cruz's case, Trump insulted his father AND mother, which Cruz at first stood his ground by not endorsing Trump at the GOP convention, but caved in like a month later after he got booed and became a pariah among his own constituents. So much for Texan's being "tough", eh? He got owned by a Hillary Clinton supporting New York Democrat!

It was the same old same old set in concrete content and format. I'll go to his little charade about West Poing first, and his blaming 600 salutes, and the Sun on his water drinking issue. That sounded and even looked pretty good until I remembered this from at least a year ago. No 600 salutes or baking in the Sun....and still two hands required, and a bottle at this event, and he had to use two hands several times.

There in that speech, Donald revealed the content of a private conversation he had with a 'General' at West Point, the bloke at Trump's side when he went down the ramp. There in that speech, Donald revealed what he had been told by yet some other 'General' about what the cancellation fee would be if he reneged on the deal to buy two new replacement Air Force Ones. There in that speech, Donald revealed the back and forth private negotiations he had with Boeing concerning the cost of those two new AF Ones. There in that speech, he revealed private conversations he had with 'Angela' (Merkel) concerning Germany's obligations to buy weapons.

And the best bit he accidentally dropped right out there.

As part of bragging about what he said to the 'General' concerning the reneging on the Boeing deal, he insisted that the 'General' put nothing in writing but to tell them that he (Donald) was no longer interested in buying the new planes. Now, that is exactly how he rolls with his underlings, gives them an instruction orally and insists that the execution of that instruction not be evidenced in writing. If that deal had gone legs up because the 'General' did exactly what Trump required, (we assume he did as required but the deal did not go legs up) Trump would have denied giving the instruction, leaving the 'General' out to dry.

And, as has already been observed, the Stadium was half empty and no-one was outside listening. There was plenty of space inside.

I predict, there will be a spike in Covid cases (sorry, Trump has revitalised the national put down calling it again the China virus) all linked to this propaganda event.

'Sleepy' Joe copped the usual hiding, but nothing new, and best of all, Trump did a Biden and mispronounced Nasdaq, much to his own hidden annoyance, belting the lecturn twice with his right hand as soon as he realised the boo-boo.

All in all, for those who analyse it, it provides more grist for the anti-Trump mill and had nothing new for the willing faithful who would have heard and seen it before a zillion times.

 

Looks like the total head count for the rally was a bust according to the latest figures being reported. Organizers are apparently trying to blame protesters who allegedly prevented attendees from entering the complex. If so this would be the first Trumps rallies where this has been a significant issue. That and a 'scare campaign' about the Corona virus. In reality? some of the gloss appears to be coming of Trumps re-election campaign. Still time to turn it around of course but currently the numbers are not looking good.
