    I'm not wrong there. They would have let the Democrats eat him alive if he didn't pass the tax cuts they wanted, and stack the SC in the GOP's favor.

    I repped the meme but when I checked, I realized it was false. As satire or something, its fine. But if it intended as satire, that needs to be clarified. Citing a fictitious interview to an actual source makes it in the category of real fake news.

    The meme is false. A person posting it could do so without knowing it is false. All of us can make mistakes, and fall for "fake news". In fact, most of what you believe about a host of things is nothing but 'fake news'.

    Yes. I have seen that meme before and checked it. Found it to be false. But, as you say, unless you check and then post it knowing it to be false, it is an easy error to make.

    Especially since it's believable that it came from a former NY Liberal like Trump. As I said, I used to be a Liberal and I used to have the same disparaging thoughts towards conservatives. It's what happens when you're born in the North, we're indoctrinated from an early age to besmirch our Southern neighbors, without appreciating what they go through or what they do for us in terms of farming.

    Trump literally became a "conservative" in his mid-late 60's when Obama was president, coincidentally around 2011 when GOP candidates were starting to announce running against Obama.

    You’re right. The cons keep him around as a human shield to cover their continuing plunder of America. We already know they are as guilty as trump is. But trump is too defective a character to be their poster boy, so they may cut their loses and live to fight another day.
