    This could have been avoided. The fact that the monster who purposely dropped the ball is allowed to remain in office at this point is very telling of the failure the USA is as a functioning country.

    The timeline says it all...

    Do you remember when Trump blamed the drop in the stock market on a Democratic Primary Debate in South Carolina? Or when Trump forced the GOP to move its convention to Florida because the Democratic Governor of North Carolina refused to promise that Trump could have a convention that was free of pandemic control measures? Or when Trump attacked the Democratic Governors of New York, Michigan, and New Jersey because they were insufficiently praised Trump? Or when Trump claimed that anyone who wants a test can get a test and the tests are perfect just like the transcript was perfect?

    San Antonio could see a spike in COVID-19 cases in a few weeks because of the daily gatherings of protesters downtown, according to Anita Kurian, assistant director of San Antonio Metropolitan Health.
    Since May 29, many San Antonians have hit the streets to protest against police brutality despite the threat of the coronavirus. Thursday marked the 13th consecutive days of protest after the death of George Floyd, a black man who died while in police custody in Minneapolis on May 25.
    Kurian said it would be "very difficult" to link a spike in cases to the protests because testing centers aren't asking people if they've attended a protest. However, the city should be able gauge a possible impact in three to four weeks, she said.

    In San Antonio, most of the protests have been outdoors, which makes the risk of person-to-person transmission less than it would be if people were congregating indoors, Kurian said. Either way, she said there is still a risk when large groups of people come together.
    "They are standing so close to each other and making social distancing difficult," Kurian said. "There is always a cause for concern, so people should realize when large groups of people are close together during the protests it is inherently dangerous in the context of this pandemic and could trigger an uptick in COVID-19 cases."

    I thought the left was hollering that Trump wasn't king and that states governors were the only ones that had the right to manage the COIVD response for each state or mayors for each city. Do you remember that? So when did Trump become the governor of Texas or the mayor of San Antonio? They knew there was going to be a problem. The mayor of San Antonio is the one that allowed this to happen.

    Uh...maybe when Trump decided to pick and choose who gets help based on who sucks his toes the most.

    Everyone was clamoring for an organized and legitimate response from the feds. What they got was their supplies jacked by Kushner and sold for premium dollars.
