""And I’m recommending that we pass a law that presidents cannot issue a pardon if the crime that the person is in jail for is one that is caused by protecting the president, which this was. It’s appalling."

Once again she proves we have a Speaker of the House who knows nothing about the Constitution. The Presidential power to pardon is ingrained in Article Two the Constitution and just for cases of injustice such as this and the Flynn case which I expect a full pardon for that one.

"I think the prosecution was righteous and I think the sentence that the judge ultimately gave was fair," Barr said.

The left again ought to be careful what they wish for. Unless the law says only when it's a republican president.

Pelosi is showing Bidenesque brain deterioration. Congress cannot "pass a law" that restricts Trump's inherent constitutional power.

What the Biden Level dumb Speaker is suggesting would require ratification by 3/4ths of the States.

Would probably be one that would pass. I mean they got the 27th amendment passed and it was about congressional pay.

He will pardon Gen. Flynn, who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. Wasn't it Obama who pardoned Gen. James Cartwright who pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI in a leak investigation? The Speaker of the House must have forgotten.

I would want the very same law for a Dem president if he pardoned someone to benefit himself and his own interests.

Why is it every time the dems dislike the results of anything they want to change the law, stack a court, eliminate the electoral college, or ?

No... it's still ongoing... if the appeals court does it's job and Sullivan plays his cards right, he can stonewall this through January, Trumpnam style...

On topic, Nancy and Joe quite possibly will have the numbers and public support to consider this... Certainly not a bad thought...

This is positive. I don't view political imprisonment as the American way.

That's a testable claim, so, test it.

You bring up a great point on the 27th amendment. It was submitted to Congress on September 25, 1789 and became part of the constitution on May 5, 1992, a mere 202 years, 7 months, and 10 days later, so, great plan!

I don't think any person should serve on a jury judging someone or a case they have already prejudged calling those involved racist nor be accused of tampering with a witness when the witness says they weren't tampered with.

And you think that is the role of a judge in our system of justice? And you REALLY think Congress can just pass a law negating Article Two powers of the President. Where did you study civics the same place as Pelosi?

Hey now - Pelosi's gotta Pelosi.

Maybe her lack of comprehension is a result of GICBF*, so don't be racist!

The constitution probably makes them "feel unsafe" as it prevents them from implementing tyranny.
