Organized. Yes why do ask? Read my previous post. When I perform in public two subjects forbidden from the stage, politics and religion. Do feel the same ahout prayer about these political statements?
Athlete's should not use sporting events to promote their religious views. I've never read you supporing them doing so do you?
It’s not about who wrote it. It’s about who has served and sacrificed under it to secure the freedom we have. Hands off of things you do not comprehend. Just wallow in the freedom you were gifted and leave the honored icons of that freedom alone.
The game was with the Mets... At Citi Field. Citi is afraid of BLM. No surprise with the BLM hype. But did any of the Braves players take a knee? If so, they are going to see a massive rejection of their folly.
Pretty sure MLB mandated that on the mound. Teams and ball parks had no say so I would guess. Players were also wearing small BLM patches on their sleeves. I wonder if MLB and the MLBPA were at odds on this as those patches were tiny. I hope it was a one and done by MLB. If the teams want to push this on their customers then that is a different matter IMO. I imagine some of the more liberal cities might. Oakland, LA and San Francisco come to mind as do teams in NY. Hope the Mets do not, I like the Mets.
Do you know anyone who actually did leave the US because they didn't like the new president? My guess is you will watch MLB. Hence, the similarity. Both are silly nonsense talk.
No. Yes only foolish people in both sides says that crap, and neither followed thru. Has nothing to do with watching a game, a wee bit different than moving out of country with all that entails. If MLB or my team pushes it I’ll walk away.
White people are over-represented in baseball management, so racism and politics are obvious unless you deliberately ignore the truth. Are you upset about the politics and racism? Why didn't you walk away before over white racism? Just watch the game.
No one I'm sure ever did leave the US, and I really doubt you will not watch MLB, especially since we are all quarentined with nothing much to do. I'm watching my beloved Red Sox right now. It brings a bit of normalcy to my life.
Ive not missed a moment or work since this started, at work now. I do not have anymore time on my hands than I did. I’d miss it bit i would walk away in a minute if they want to push unrequested social opinions on me. I wish it would bring some normalcy to in my life, that’s what I want. Hitting me with social justice issues is not going to do that.
Although, with no fans in attendance that sort of "ceremony" loses it's luster. In any event we can't forget that maybe this whole thing is part of a Grand Conspiracy (Involving the Commisioner, The Owners, and the Illuminati). After all, MLB IS BLM Spelled Backwards. This is something that may have been in the planning stages since Jackie Robinson. You never know.
Exactly. It may be a blessing in disguise for many of the fans. Because, if all of these people complaining about "I will never go to an MLB game again" don't return (once the COVID Crisis is Over), it will make it much easier to get prime seats and maybe even open up previously futile chances to get Season Tickets and Suites. Glad to hear that so many are "Done with MLB Forever".
You know what military personal do when they are walking all alone and Reveille or Retreat is sounded? They stop and salute the flag all by their lonesome. It’s not about doing it in a crowd.
I do not seek political or social advice from dudes because they can hit a ball or play a guitar really well. To do so would be just plain stupid and thus I doubt if most folks do. It’s the ego of the player, musician or actor thinking folks do want their opinion that drive them to do so.
What we are seeing is a sickening display of knee jerk virtue signaling. In the past this sort of behavior was described by the word craven.
I thought you people didn't believe in profit. Isn't profit exploiting the people? Maybe MLB will step up to the plate (so to speak) and when Covid-19 is not an issue let black fans attend games for free. Better yet, pay black people to attend games and give them free beer.
Perhaps if MLB does not then the player kneeling might pony up for the cost of doing so. That I would respect as putting you money where your mouth is. Kinda like Sean Penn. The guy is a nutty extreme liberal but he walks the talk, goes out and does real works things to help instead of just mouthing off on social media about it. I don’t wanna have a beer with the guy but I do respect him for that. Great video.
