    This whole thing is about trump doing two things:
    - questioning the result of the election. I don’t think he’ll really try to stay in office, but his ego will need an excuse when he loses. He needs to blame something else so he takes no personal responsibility for the loss.
    - distracting from the awful story about the economy.

    It's not a vote when it is post marked, it is a vote when it is cast or an election official receives it, after that polls close on election day the election is over. This isn't taxation. And the ballots are pre-paid, they don't get canceled so there is no post mark. Another way fake ballots could be entered.

    So should votes AFTER the election be allowed if we are not going to delay the end of the election?

    They are a vote until they are recieved and pre-paid don't post marked, that's one of the problems New York ran into. Post offices weren't cancelling them because they don't have stamps and there is no need to post mark. Then Cuomo changed the rules of the election and by Executive Order extended, delayed the end of the election. Should he be impeached?

    Actually the Post Office is a federal office and the state can't tell them what to do. And we can all stipulate that only Congress can change the law government election dates OK, this is the third time now. I don't think they ever thought they needed to tell him that, are they mind readers? This is not some policy he just tried to instate, it was an off the cuff remark about the possibility of delaying the election did you miss the question marks???
